Harvey Nichols Glossybox

As soon as I got the pre-release email for this box I was excited and immediately put my name down to get one. This special edition box was from Harvey Nichols who teamed up with Glossybox. I'm not a lover of Glossybox but they always do amazing special boxes every now and then. This had £150 worth of products inside and the majority of them were all big samples! Seeing as I'm no longer a Glossybox subscriber this was £35 pus P&P for me to buy but if you are a subscriber it was £30 plus P&P here.

The Show Working Texture Spray (Full Size)

This was the first thing to grab my attention when the images were released for the box, the lid is so fancy and I just loved it (yes, the lid). My bottle was slightly battered from transport but it will still do the trick! I'm excited to see how this works! This is £30 to buy, which may be a little pricey for some.

NARS Lip Pencil (Sample/1.7g)

I got the colour 'Rikugien' which is perfect for the Kylie Jenner look everyone seems to be raving about at the moment. This is a perfect match for my Mac lipstick in Mehr, which is one of my favourite everyday colours. This is really moisturising and can be used all over the lips as well as a liner, it has a nice natural sheen finish. I would love to get my hands on this in more shades. NARS pencils are £18.00 full size, which is the average for brands like it.

Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser (Sample/5ml)

To buy this full size (50ml) it is £150! So way out my price zone if I do end up loving this. It is to be used after cleansing and toning and claims to renew your skin.

Macadamia Hair Oil (Sample/10ml)

I love using oils on the ends of my hair before drying as it always make them appear smoother and healthier once dry. Especially after drying and straightening my hair nearly every day, it helps reduce my split ends. This is £21.95 for 125ml, which is very similar to the Moroccan oil price.

Benefit They're Real Mascara (Sample/30ml)

Now you cannot go wrong with an extra Benefit mascara, especially the sample sizes, they're so easy to throw into your handbag. I'm keeping this one aside for my holidays instead of taking my full size mascara, so much easier to fit into a make up travel bag. They're Real mascara is £19.50 for the full size version, which is a little more towards the higher end but well worth it.

OPI (Full Size)

I'm not sure if everyone gets this colour but I got the gorgeous 'Viking In a Vinter Vonderland' which is a dark purple. It will be great addition to my winter colours! OPI's are £12 which is well worth it, they even look nice just sitting in a rack!

Elemis Pro-Colagen Marine Cream (Sample/15ml)

This is a whopping £135 to buy full size (100ml) so I'd say this is a generous sample! Still being in my early 20s I don't feel this will be used to it's full potential on me, but I will give it a go. Especially under my eyes where they could need some tlc.

Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum (Sample/5ml)

I don't have a night cream yet, though I am looking into finding one I will like. I am going to try using this on it's own and first. Once I find a good night cream I will add a few drops of this into it. This is £57.50 for the full size product.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (Sample/30ml)

I've tried a few Laura Mercier products and they're never quite agreed with me, there is always a bit too much glitter in it for me. This is a lot smoother than her other products so I'm willing to try! This will also be a handy size for going away for a break. It is £29 for full size, which isn't the cheapest but I'm sure it will be worth it.

La Coupe Coconut and Macadamia Oil (Sachet)

Aussie hair masks have always been my favourite and I love the feeling masks give your hair afterwards so I'm excited to try this. I hope it leaves my hair smelling of coconuts! This is £3.50 per sachet, which isn't too cheap but the macadamia oil probably adds to the price.

There also should have been a Harvey Nichols mini scented candle, but unfortunately mine broke whilst being delivered (and also battered my Show spray in the process). These are £30 for a set of 4 but seeing as mine was shattered I haven't a clue what mine was (it was white haha).

I loved this box and so glad I managed to grab it (even though I am saving..). I'm really looking forward to trying stuff out. Especially my first NARS lip product! Also the pretty box will come in handy to put some Christmas goodies in for someone.

What did you think of this box? Did you manage to grab it?

  1. £30-35 + P&P is not bad for this box. It's got some amazing stuff and it's great value, considering everything is worth £150. x
