Born Pretty Waterproof Lipstick

This beautiful vibrant lipstick is from Born Pretty cosmetics, there was quite a few colours I wanted to grab but this was my first choice. It is only £2.81 here, which is such a bargain!! The colour has such a pigmented pay off and a sheen finish. Sheen finishes are my favourite for winter time as they don't dry my lips out!

I've been wearing this with my Mac lip liner as I think lipsticks stand out so much more with a bit of liner, but this can also be used as just a swipe of colour. You can apply enough for a bright colour pay off or just lightly for a stain effect like above. The orange tones stand out so much more once on the skin rather than in the packaging.

The only thing that lets this down for me is the packaging, I think this could have been made a bit more attractive. But hey, it still looks lush on anyway!

New York goodies

glamglow, tarte, kat von d, swatches, too faced, beauty blender, mac, make up forever, ysl, hourglass, nars, eyeshadow, palette

I came back from New York just before Christmas so I thought I would share my goodies I got whilst I was there. I wasn't very well the last day or so, so my shopping was a little more minimal than I wanted. (Good excuse to go back right?). But I at least got a few things I had been after for ages and a few extras as I walked by.

I'm going to do a review for some of these on their own so I won't go in to too much detail!

Glamglow Supermud - $69.00
NARS Sheerglow foundation - $45.00
NARS Virtual Domination - $65.00
Too Faced Natural Eyes - $36.00
Mini Kat Von D lipstick & gloss - $12.00
Hourglass Ambiet Lighting - $58.00
Tarte Amazonian Blush - $26.00
Make Up Forever Cream Eyeshadow - $23.00
YSL Lipstick - $35.00
Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick - $21.00
Beauty Blender - $19.95
Mac Lipliner - $20.00
Sephora Pro Angled Contour brush - $30.00
Anastasia Beverly Hills #7 brush - $18.00

I keep looking back at all the things I wanted but didn't get a chance to get :(. But I am happy with a bits I did get, especially as I've been lusting after some on other peoples blogs for months! Have you tried anything I grabbed? Or what else would you have got?

#Flashmob eyeliner

These amazingly bright eye liners are by #Flashmob cosmetics. I've seen these pop up quite a bit in the beauty world lately from bright coloured lipsticks to their hair chalk so I was excited to get the chance to review these as it was the first I'd seen of their eye liners!

The packaging is as bright and exciting as you would expect it to be, and it goes perfectly with the eyeliners bright colours. In this set you receive the four colours below which are: Amplified - a bright pink, Hot Wired - a bright blue, Shock Therapy - a bright yellow and Incandescent - a lilac colour.

The colours are all so amazingly pigmented and stand out so well, with me being pale the pink doesn't show up too well on it's own. Each colour has a slight speckle of glitter in it to make it glisten even more.

I've so far got around to wearing Hot Wired and Incandescent and they lasted the whole day, there is no cracking or the colour rubbing away. It stayed bright from morning until evening. I think these colours look best as a outline to black liner than on their own, at least on my pale complexion! I'm sure they would look amazing on a dark skin tone.

I'm looking forward to trying out more looks with these liners and plan to break them out again at New Year.

What did you think of the #Flashmob eye liners? Have you tried anything from their range before?

GHD Periwinkle

I don't know how these slipped my mind to share with everyone, because they are so beautiful!

For my 21st birthday my lovely boyfriend got me some GHD IV in Periwinkle from ASOS. They are limited edition, so they will most likely to get your hands on them in stores. But aren't they beautiful!!

GHD, periwinkle, limited edition, limited edition ghd, pastel

With having such thick hair I struggle to straighten my hair with these, but they're amazing to curl with (which is mostly what I wanted them for anyway).

I don't know what it is that makes them different to my thicker GHDs but these just glide through my hair with ease! The plates are just so much shinier too.

How do you use GHDs to style your hair?

I've fell in love with Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows after my first purchase of them, the first colour I got was On & On Bronze. This colour was so easy to put on so I couldn't get enough of it. This time I bought the colours Immortal Charcoal and Pink Gold, I thought these could create a great smokey eye together (I was right).

If you're having a day when you can't be bothered to do fancy eye make up but are like me and can't not wear any these are the best thing. Whether you mix them together or wear just one colour it can give your eye that extra definition you're after.

These do claim to last 24 hours but on me they don't, maybe it's just my oily eyes but I always end up with the dreaded crease later in the day. Not that these aren't salvageable, as once you rub it back in it can go back to normal. I've never found a primer for my eyes that keeps eyeshadow on yet, though I wish I could!

When using these to do my eyes properly I like to mix all three of the colours together. I use On & On Bronze for the base all over my lid and as the outer shadow. Then I use Immortal Charcoal at the side of each eye for the smokey eye effect and Pink Gold as a highlight on my lid and near my tear ducts.

Have you tried to Color Tattoo eyeshadows? What did you think of them?

Born Pretty blush

I received this beautiful blush palette from Born Pretty which they kindly let me choose. I chose this colour blush as the darker shade is perfect for Autumn/Winter looks and is a colour I have been after for a while. The light pink shade will be perfect for any season too, so win win! The palette is only £6.14 here, which is so a good price seeing how big the pans are for each blush!

The colours are so pigmented and it only takes a dab of my brush in the palette to get enough colour, as much for my liking anyway. This also doesn't have any glitter on so it isn't going to leave your cheeks glowing! (Which I hate). Depending on what look you like to go for you can use as little or as much as you like. I prefer just a dab of colour on the apples of my cheeks.

(wearing the darker toned blush)

If you're in a budget like I am at the moment, you really can't complain about the price! And the quality is so good too.

Loreal Lipstick

Everyone is raving about these L'oreal Color Riche lipsticks at the moment so I just had to try them! With them all being a shade of red as well they were right up my street. I must admit that if these didn't come in such nice packaging I probably wouldn't have been as interested. But that packaging makes them look so much more luxurious and it has a leather type feel to it.

Each of these are meant to be tailored to your skin tone so you are meant to get who evers has the closest skin tone to you, which for me would be the Blake lipstick. But as beautiful as the Blake lipstick is, it is very close to my Mac Chili so I thought I would just go for my favourite colour (best way). Julianne is also a slight dupe for Mac Rebel with it's pink/purple tone.

Left to Right: Eva, Liya, Julianne, Blake.

These are all great colours for Autumn and are all really pigmented. It did take me a while to choose just one as I wanted them all. But seeing as I have my 'saving' head on, one will do! I chose Eva as out of all the swatches it was the least similar shade of my lipsticks I already own.

The L'oreal engraving really gives this lipstick a beautiful, expensive look. When I wore this I teamed it with my Mac Half-Red lipliner, which may be slightly too dark but will have to do until I find one to match it. This lipstick has really good staying power, after multiple glasses of water it lasted a good four hours but after that it was in need of a touch up.

What did you think of this lipstick? Did I make a good choice?

New York Wishlist

I'm so excited to be going to New York in a few days, so I thought I would post my wishlist for when I get there! Obviously I am going to go and buy heaps of make up but there is also a few more things I need  (yes, need haha).

1. Michael Kors tote
I've wanted one of these for well over a year but just never had the reason to spend so much money on one (I'm tight). I'm still not sure what colour I want but I'm sure I will have plenty of choice once I'm there.

2. Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams
(and probably their normal range too). I know you can get these from the UK online but I love going into the stores and trying products out. I always see US based make up artists raving about these and I'm so excited for them.
dose of colours, new york, make up, bblogger, limecrime, mac, kat von d, anastasia beverly hills, michael kors, designer, macys, nyx, agent provocateur,

3. Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipsticks
I always drool over these on Instagram and have heard great reviews about Kat Von D's make up range, I will probably end up leaving with her Lock it foundation too..

dose of colours, new york, make up, bblogger, limecrime, mac, kat von d, anastasia beverly hills, michael kors, designer, macys, nyx, agent provocateur,

4. Anastasia Beverly Hill Tamanna palette
I love Anastasia products and gutted I missed the Amrezy palette, but I do love the look of this palette. I love how all the palettes have varied colours and they also come in lovely packaging.

5. Agent Provocateur
I love Agent Provocateurs lingerie so I definitely need to leave with at least 1 set! Shame a one in my size probably won't resemble the below one at all (cry).

6. Christmas Tree Decoration
Is that weird? I already have a Statue of Liberty ornament from my Auntie, but I would love an ornament that I can take out each year and remember being there! And maybe a snow globe!

dose of colours, new york, make up, bblogger, limecrime, mac, kat von d, anastasia beverly hills, michael kors, designer, macys, nyx, agent provocateur,

7. Limecrime Lipsticks
I've always wanted to try these, and would love to see it all in person! Especially the Velvetines glosses!

dose of colours, new york, make up, bblogger, limecrime, mac, kat von d, anastasia beverly hills, michael kors, designer, macys, nyx, agent provocateur,

8. Dose of Colours lipsticks
I think after all these lipsticks on my list they may need their own bedroom.. haha. I'm so excited to see all the amazing colours of these lipsticks, they all have beautiful finishes.

dose of colours, new york, make up, bblogger, limecrime, mac, kat von d, anastasia beverly hills, michael kors, designer, macys, nyx, agent provocateur,

I'm sure I could go on forever for everything I want, there is just so much choice for US brands compared to what there is across here. And they're also so much more affordable to buy whilst you're there, so I might as well make the most of it.

What would you get if you were going? Or is there anything above you would have got the same as me?
