Benefit Push Up Liner

benefit, push up liner, theyre real, eyeliner, mascara, debenhams, make up, haul, tester, beauty, bblogger, bbloggers, maybelline, mac

I know I'm a bit behind on the hype for the Benefit push up liner.. but in all honesty I'm quite glad. I'm not entirely sure what the hype was all about? Though I am quite glad I only got the mini one to try and didn't splash out on the full size product which is £18.50.

I personally found the product really hard to use, the nib is chunky and really awkward. The product itself felt really high quality and was lovely and smooth but I just don't think the applicator does it any justice. I would love this product to be released in a pot to be used with a brush. I'm definitely much more of a brush and liner type person than this version.

The little bit I did manage to get on my eyes I must admit did stay on all day without any smudges or bits I just wish it was easier to apply. You can see above the smooth line I was able to get on my hand, slightly gutted I couldn't get the same on my eyes.

Have you tried this product? What did you think of it?

  1. I still need to try my mini of this out, but i'm glad i've not bought the full size one - I hear really mixed reviews! It sounds quite tricky to apply x

    1. It's the rubber which I find the hard part of it, if it was a pen it would be easier! I didn't get the full size for the same reason haha x

  2. I hated it at first, and sometimes still do. I bought it the day it came out, I was SO excited - I thought it was the product that would erase all my gel eyeliner struggles. So wrong. The applicator tip is very flimsy, and the gel comes out too thick and too much at one time.

I tried it a few times and then quickly stashed it, mad at the wasted money. However I just recently picked it back up a few weeks ago and I'm not completely hating it anymore. Once I twist it up I have to wipe off a lot of excess product and then go over my line a few times, but once it dries (and it dries fast!) it doesn't smudge or come off.

I won't repurchase it, though. I'm not a fan of benefit, and this eyeliner reminded me why I don't like Benefit too much lol.

    1. I must admit it was great when it dried and it doesn't smudge at all, but I think it's so hard to apply! I think they packaging was trying to be too different which has just made it awkward x

  3. I've heard so many mixed reviews about this. I am still unsure about whether or not to try it, trying out the mini version may be a safe bet x

  5. I totally agree with you. I don't understand the hype on this product at all, other than it being benefits first ever eyeliner!
I also tried the mini. I picked one up when Benefit were doing a promotion on handing one into their counter and getting a trial one. I used it once, well tried to use it once, but failed to get any product to come out of the thing. When I did manage to get some out it was so clumpy and useless that I gave up!

I agree with you about it needing to be in a little pot. Also I hate how difficult it is to come off! haha.

    Lovely post though!

    1. The formula was great but the applicator ruined it! It was so fiddley and annoying to use. It was a nightmare trying to get enough out of it. I would buy it if it came in a pot x
