Be-lated January lip monthly bag
I was intrigued by this Lip Monthly subscription after seeing it on Speckled Beauty, it was the first I had seen or heard of the subscription but I love lip products so I had to give it a chance. Also the products that she received in her bag looked so lovely and I was secretly hoping I would have got something similar (but didn’t).
The subscription is $15 which is $10 for the box and $5 shipping, or you can sign up 4 monthly for $40 or annually for $100. I decided on the monthly one as I just want to see what it is like and so I can cancel at anytime if I wanted to. If you are from the UK you will get a small bank charge for buying from the US but it’s only around £1. The big downside for me is that it takes around 2 and a half weeks to get here, so while I was still waiting for my first bag to come they had already took my payment for the second.. and I still had no bags! It’s a shame they can’t deliver them out earlier/quicker so you can receive it before the month is over.
So in my January bag I received:
Ofra Liquid Lipstick $19.90 in the shade Laguna Beach, I did instantly like this colour as all the nude lips are in at the moment! The lipstick does smudge ever so slightly but it does dry to a nice smooth shade in a minute, so not too long to wait! There was a few little dry bits in the packaging I had to wipe off, but that still hasn’t changed my mind about liking it still!
Mica Lip Color Pot $14.50 in the shade Velvet Rose, I do wish this was in a tube rather than in a pot as it means it can only be applied by a brush but I’ll make do.
Ecolips Tinted Balm $4.49 in Rose Quartz. This has a really refreshing mint taste to it and leaves a nice dusty pink on your lips. It is quite a subtle shade so is nice if you’re going for a natural look and it is also really moisturising and lasts a few hours.
Harvey Prince Damask Rose $55 for full size. This was literally the grossest smelling perfume ever, it was absolutely horrendous! I also don’t understand why this was in the ‘lip monthly’ bag anyway??
The total for this box was $50.89 and everything was full size apart from the perfume sample. I do like the three lip products I received and they are worth what they are especially for how cheap the subscription is. I hope next months is a little better though, I have currently cancelled my subscription so I can judge if I like the second one first or not. So hopefully it reaches my expectations!
