Beauty Blenders

Beauty Blender
Beauty Blenders

I love Beauty Blenders, I think I've used them around 2 years now and don't think I could go back to doing my foundation with a brush now! I always save up my Birchbox points to buy my Beauty Blenders as they're not exactly the cheapest sponge on the market, but out of all the ones I've tried they're my favourite. The real ones last longer and are easier to clean!

I've also been really curious of the new mini blenders, I meant to grab one when I was in New York but the Sephora I went into was sold out of them! :(. Instead I got one from Born Pretty* for £1.10, which is the cheapest mini blender I've seen about. I always try the dupe sponges before I splash out on the real ones as I like to make sure I'll actually use it!

The two pink ones are the normal sized blenders and the green in the mini. The blenders do get bigger once you've dampened them in some water, which is the way I use them. I find you get a better finish when using them damp and they don't soak up too much product like dry sponges do, though everyone will use theirs differently.

The mini one is so handy for any concealer and under eye products, as the original blender is bigger it is obviously harder to squeeze under the eyes/around your nose etc. It's especially easier if you do your eye make up before your foundation!

These are my holy grail tools for foundation and would recommend them to anyone, even to at least try out the dupes before splashing out on the original ones. Even more handy to try out if you get a Birchbox and can save up your points to get them for free!

Have you tried the blenders out before?

  1. I really like using Beauty Blenders, but I go through fazes where i'll alternate between them and brushes. I picked up the mini one a couple of months ago though and I love it, especially for under-eye concealer.

    1. They're handy for when you've done your eye make up first, but otherwise not too much point xx

  5. I never really thought the mini blenders were useful but when it comes to concealer and under eye products, you are totally right! I might have to give them a go!

    1. That's the only use I would use them for, I've done my eye makeup first sometimes and the big blender just puts foundation all over my eyes ahah x
