Blush Sticks

Blush sticks are completely new to me, I've bought a few in the past and really didn't understand how to apply them without looking like I had army stripes on. I watched one of Shaaanxo's videos on Youtube and she showed how to apply them with a brush and I've liked them ever since! Using a brush to get the product from the tube to then buff onto your face doesn't effect your foundation underneath, which was always my most hated thing about stick blushes.

These two are my new contouring combo, I just wish I had a really light highlight one to finish it off to a trio. But until I find that one, these two will do half the job! I use the Matte Malibu (which is a dupe for Nars) under my cheekbones, under my chin and around my hair line and it lasts nearly all day. If I'm going somewhere I won't get a chance to reapply my bronzer I always use this as it doesn't wear off like powder does. I also apply the pink blush to the apples of my cheeks, it isn't as bright of a pink as it looks in the tube. It is a lot more subtle, which is up my street as I don't like illuminous pink blush!

Swatches

The Makeup Revolution one is a matte finish which is what makes it so great for contouring and the Born Pretty one has a pretty sheen to it, but not too much that it makes your cheeks glow! It creates a nice subtle sheen-y pink tone (great explanation) and gives a really natural look.

Here is what it's like on:
