Glamglow set

I fell in love with Glamglow masks when I grabbed one from Sephora in New York. My little pot lasted me about 5 months so I was pretty impressed as it's not exactly the cheapest. Instead of buying from Sephora this time I thought I would have a shop around and see who else had the best deal. I got this little set from allbeauty.com which I think may have been the last one as it disappeared after that! But they still do other versions for pretty much the same price.

I decided to get a set rather than just the Glamglow Cleansing Mud as I had read good things about the YouthMud and ThirstyMud versions too. I have never really found a face moisturiser that I've loved, so I'm always trying to find one that suits my awkward skin. The Cleansing Mud is a mask that you leave on for 15 minutes a few times a week to clear your skin. The YouthMud is a mask which you also leave on for 15 minutes and it makes your skin feel plumper. The ThirstyMud is a moisturiser mask which you can leave on over night or apply and rinse.

I really like this trio, though I don't think my skin has really reached the age just yet for the YouthMud I have enjoyed using it. My skin feels so much plumper and less tired (which I always am). I haven't used this much as I've been using the ThirstyMud more, my skin needs the little extra moisture while it's hotter.. I wish these did a body butter. I have pretty awkward skin and the ThirstyMud hasn't caused me to have any breakouts which is a first for me! I reviewed the Glamglow CleansingMud here, and I'm still loving it. If I'm having a skin meltdown it literally sorts it out straight away! I currently use it twice a week and my skin has never been clearer. I obviously still get the odd break out but no where near as bad as I used to!

Tattoo Jewellery #2*

temporary tattoos
temporary tattoos

I discovered my love of the temporary tattoo jewellery at the start of the year when Born Pretty sent me some (review here), so when they offered to send some more I jumped at the chance. Especially seeing as I had used all my other ones from last time, I'm yet to come across these in stores so always excited to receive them. I chose design #4 this time, but there was 4 designs to choose from for only £1.83

I rarely wear any bracelets or anything as they irritate the life out of me when they bash into things or rub on my arm. So these are always my favourite substitute and they last ages too. I specifically chose this design as I loved the Hand of Fatima design (which I have tattooed on my arm) so really wanted that for when I go somewhere nice.

I love how these look even with a simple black dress, they really give it the extra bit of colour too. The longer designs are great for anklets and bracelets (anklets would be sooo nice if I wasn't the tone of a milk bottle). I've noticed the tattoo jewellery a lot on Instagram and pinterest lately, just wish the weather would warm up so I can wear them without covering them in a jacket.

July Birchbox(bag)

I was a little confused this month when I saw a parcel through the door and couldn't remember ordering anything. Until I opened it and realised it was the July Birch'bag'. I must admit even though I collect (hoard) the boxes for gift boxes I really liked the bag idea. I think this little bag will come in handy for the airport, or at least that is where I am planning on taking it when I go abroad. It's realistically not big enough for my make up, especially for a holiday but it's pretty none the less!

I was pretty impressed with the products this month too, well apart from 1 but can't really complain. I do love the little eye trio though, the melon colour in the middle looks lovely and I can't wait to play around with it.

This months box includes:

Balance Me Congested Skin Serum £16 - This is to sooth breakouts and reduce the redness, which is what the Lavender and Aloe Vera ingredients will be great for. I'm going to give this a whirl and see how it compares to the Lush Grease Lightning. But I have had good experiences with Balance Me products, so I'm hopefull! I'm putting it on tonight to try and break this spot battle I'm having before I go away!

Unani Aloe Vera Gel £15 - Some after sun, which I'm sure will come in handy for the other half when we're in Lanzarote in September as he burns like a tomato. It smells lovely though so at least he won't smell like a burnt foot!

POP Beauty Eyeshadow Trio in Peach Parfait £15.50 - I love the peachy tone in this, I was happy just seeing this in my box itself ha! These are the three perfect colours for a nice soft smokey eye for the summer. Small enough to pop into a handbag too!

Benefit Cosmetics Dream Screen £25 - Though I do love Benefit skincare range, I probably won't get much use of this. It's very rare I put sun cream on my face as I usually have a foundation on with a good SPF. I will take it along on my holidays with me though for lying around the pool. I'd imagine this one to clog your skin a lot less than a normal sunscreen.

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Luminizer Gel £8.95 - This little thing has quite confused me, it looks like nail varnish and I think I spent around 10 minutes making sure they sent me the right thing. I have literally no clue how to use this, it even has a nail varnish brush?! I'm going to give it a go though and see what it's like for highlighting my brow bone at first, then be a little adventurous afterwards.

Pua Vida Lace Headband in Aqua £11.40 for 8 - This is what I was least excited about, I have mahoosive head and there is no change it is getting into this tiny elastic band haha.

But apart from the headband I did love this month, and I'm quite looking forward to using a lot of the products! You can still get this months box here.

Giorgio Armani Sí Intense

I don't really know how I'm going to go about describing this but I couldn't not do a post about it as I love it. I first tried the original Giorgio Armani Si about a year ago, which is a light pink colour, and loved how fruity/musky it was to wear. Once I saw a new version had been released I knew I wanted to try it out, in fact I didn't even smell it before I bought it I just got my Mam to get it from Duty Free.

It's not exactly the cheapest or most expensive of perfumes, it is £52 for 30ml which to me is a treat really. This version is a lot more fruity/vanilla sort of smell, but still has the nice muskiness to it (is that a word). I also love the bottle itself, I just like the idea of the liquid being black (a bit like Lady GaGa's one a few year back that I loved too). The smell of this also lasts near enough all day, it fades a lot more musky than how it is when you first put it on but still smells beautiful. I have also had loads of compliments on it too so that's definitely a good sign!

11 things!

So the lovely Ali from AliCaitrin nominated me to do this, and seeing as I'm nosey as anything I really enjoyed reading it. I mean you do get to know the person behind the blog a little better and see what you's have in common as people!

#1 What are the three words that describe your personality the best?
Giggly, Loving and Moaner. I am a moaner, I could literally whinge about everything.. I actually get wrong at work for whinging (I can't help it). I also do giggle at everything, especially when I'm nervous.

#2 Harry Potter - yay or nay?
Looove it, I did get into it a lot more when I met my other half though as he loves it.

#3 What made you want to start blogging?
I used Instagram as my blog nearly anyway so a few people told me to go ahead, at first I wasn't exactly sure if I was going to enjoy it or what it would be like. But I am really glad I gave it a chance as I've really enjoyed it so far.

#4 Are you reading anything at the moment and if so which book?
Sounds bad, but I actually can't remember when I last read a book. I actually feel like I don't have any time to either. But I am going on holiday soon so will need one for that!

#5 Got any exciting holidays planned?
I go to London on Thursday to visit my friend Holly, who I haven't seen in ageees so I'm pretty excited. I'm also going on my first 'solo' holiday with David this year to Lanzarote. Every holiday we've been on so far we have been with another couple or family, so excited!

#6 Are you a morning or evening person?
Evening person, I haate getting up early. If I could start work around 10am I would be soo much happier. I don't feel fully awake until around 11am ha.

#7 Tell us a funny joke.
I'm literally the unfunniest person ever, I have literally went completely blank! All I can think of is 'Knock Knock' but no actual joke to go with it... Sorry, buzz kill here.

#8 Apart from blogging, what other hobbies do you have?
I always enjoyed applying make up before my blog, so that is one of my hobbies. Another is up-cycling furniture, it's so therapeutic painting it and seeing the outcome.

#9 If you could be fluent in another language which one would be it?
I would love to be able to speak Spanish, I did learn a little bit at the start of the year and really enjoyed it. I might try and do it once I finish Uni and have some more time!

#10 When you were little, what were your favourite telly shows?
Scooby Doo, I literally had every single thing Scooby Doo related haha. I also loved Sabrina The Teenage Witch. I would it now if it was still on TV.

#11 Name five blogs you've been enjoying reading this summer so far.
Charlotte Harvs
Classic Rouge
Aspiring Londoner
Effortlessly Excessive
Jasmine Talks Beauty
I probably could have chosen heaps more, but these are a few of the ones I just love reading even when I probably haven't got the time to!

I was going to chose some people to do this, but decided against it. But if you want to do it just copy the questions from above! :-)

ASOS sandals

I never keep any of my sandals very long, I buy them and love them and wear them until they're literally ruined. So as soon as some hot weather comes around I have none to wear anymore and need to start the search of finding some new ones all over again! I think I probably scowered through every website looking for some I liked and gave up, until these popped up in a little advert and I loved them.

I love chunky sandals more than flat sandals, so I like that these have a little wedge to them. Which also means they can be a little more dressey too! And super comfy.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light

I got a voucher for House of Fraser and instead of using it on a Mac lipstick like I always do (ooops) I thought I would try out this. I've been recommended the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light from bloggers for a while now but I just wasn't convinced it would be different from the normal Double Wear (which I do love, but too much for summer). This is £29.50, so not exactly a cheap foundation either but after my Fenwicks make over I was a little more convinced!

I had a tester of this for little over 2-3 weeks from a nice lady at the Fenwicks counter in Newcastle as I thought this would be the best way to really try it out before buying it. And I must admit I loooove it, for having crazy oily skin this really does last me my whole day at work (it's a hot office too). I do need the powder touch up half way through the day on my nose, as there is just no stopping it getting shiny! But this also doesn't clog up around your nose either so it looks nearly as good as when you first applied it.

I got the colour Intensity 1.0 as that was the best match to my skin, it can also be made darker when you have a tan with a touch of bronzer without looking daft. I've actually been wearing it a lot with my Lord & Berry bronzer recently and it's blended so well together! This has a medium coverage and is really light on your skin, it hasn't caused me to breakout either so that's always great. It mostly covers all my acne scarring too so there's less need for concealer too, perks!

Have you tried this before?

Mac Layin' Low & Nice 'n' Spicy

Mac paintpot and liner
Mac paintpot and liner
Mac paintpot and liner

It was my birthday in May and I literally couldn't think of a thing I needed, I had just put a huge Sephora order in so didn't need anything from there and didn't really need any clothes. So instead I dragged my poor boyfriend to Mac (twice, other post will be later) as I still couldn't find much after my first visit.

I got the Groundwork paintpot a few months ago and fell in love with it, it creates a great base for eyeshadow or even looked amazing on its own. So thought I would invest in a lighter shade for some other looks, this is my third one so far (Let's Skate is my other one which is a glittery white). This time round I chose Layin' Low £16, which is a creamy beige colour, it's a little lighter than Groundwork but has more of a pink tone to it.

I also got the Pro longwear liner in Nice 'n' Spicy £15, I much prefer the Pro longwear liner to the normal mac liner as it's so much more creamy and blends really well. Nice 'n' Spicy is a pink cinnamon colour which is a colour I am loving at the moment, I'm still in the 90's lip trend and don't see myself leaving any time soon. It also looks great with all most all of my nude/pink lipsticks as you can blend the outer edge with it.

I got a few more things, but going to space them all out as I like some of them so much for their own little post!

Have you tried either of the two products? What did you think of them?

Kat Von D liquid lipstick

Kat Von D lipstick

I've been after more of Kat Von D's range since I was in New York in December, but it isn't exactly the easiest brand to get your hand on in the UK. Which is like most good make up brands, typical. So I put in a Sephora order in May and grabbed a bunch of stuff I've been waiting for (they'll all eventually venture on the blog).

So anyway, I grabbed L.U.V. which is a really vibrant violet purple, a bit like Mac's Violetta. The liquid lipsticks are satin when you first apply them then they dry to a matte finish. With them being matte they last a lot longer than other finishes. I would say this lasts around 4+ hours with eating and drinking which is a little bit less than the LaSplash Cosmetics lipsticks (review here), but the Kat Von D range is a little more cheaper at £13.00.

To get the range in the UK the easiest website I found was Sephora, I literally cannot find a English stockist anywhere?! I must admit, it took me a while to pluck up the courage to wear this as it's so bright but I love it! It also goes really well with Mac's Fashion Boost too.

Here's what it's like on:

Have you tried any of the Kat Von D range? Which would you like to try?
