Estee Lauder Double Wear Light

I got a voucher for House of Fraser and instead of using it on a Mac lipstick like I always do (ooops) I thought I would try out this. I've been recommended the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light from bloggers for a while now but I just wasn't convinced it would be different from the normal Double Wear (which I do love, but too much for summer). This is £29.50, so not exactly a cheap foundation either but after my Fenwicks make over I was a little more convinced!

I had a tester of this for little over 2-3 weeks from a nice lady at the Fenwicks counter in Newcastle as I thought this would be the best way to really try it out before buying it. And I must admit I loooove it, for having crazy oily skin this really does last me my whole day at work (it's a hot office too). I do need the powder touch up half way through the day on my nose, as there is just no stopping it getting shiny! But this also doesn't clog up around your nose either so it looks nearly as good as when you first applied it.

I got the colour Intensity 1.0 as that was the best match to my skin, it can also be made darker when you have a tan with a touch of bronzer without looking daft. I've actually been wearing it a lot with my Lord & Berry bronzer recently and it's blended so well together! This has a medium coverage and is really light on your skin, it hasn't caused me to breakout either so that's always great. It mostly covers all my acne scarring too so there's less need for concealer too, perks!

Have you tried this before?

  1. Sadly I wasn't a fan of the Double Wear as I find it too heavy (I prefer light bases) but this one is finally appealing, since it's supposed to be lighter. Might have to grab a sample. x

    1. I can only wear the original one in winter as it melts off through summer! I really like this one though, can feel the difference xx

  2. I've read good thing about this too but I think it's most suited for oily and combo skin? My face is very dry so am not sure if this will cling to dry patches?
