Doll White Whitening Strips*

Doll White Teeth Whitening Strips
Doll White Teeth Whitening Strips

So I was contacted by Doll White and they asked if I wanted to give their 1 week whitening strips a go! They actually came in perfect time for Bank Holiday too, extra beauty treatment for a girls day out on Sunday! I know I don't have discoloured teeth really anyway, but they're still not bright white as I would like and I'm terrified to get them done properly as I don't want sensitive teeth! These strips have no peroxide in them so theres no damage to your teeth at all.

So in each black packet you get a gel strip for your top teeth and a shorter strip for your bottom teeth. The strips only whiten the teeth you seen when you smile, so they don't touch your teeth at the back but how would anyone see them..?! You press the little strip over your teeth and leave them on for half an hour. I put them on whilst I was doing my make up in the morning as I thought it was the easiest way to add into my routine without missing a day! Once the half an hour is over you peel them off and rinse out your mouth, I did have to rub the toothbrush back over my teeth though as there was a gel residue I couldn't leave!

I must admit the first day I used them I was shocked by how white they made my teeth, not evenly but hey it was the 1st one what did I expect? So after that I was pretty excited each morning to peel them off to see how white they had gone today. It evens the colour out after each application, I don't mean I had patchy teeth though! It wasn't noticeable at all.

I do think they are a lot whiter! But I do now have a complex with how much of a gap is in my bottom teeth (cry). I think I could have seen a lot more difference if I had the two week pack though, I think a few more strips would have made heaps of difference! For a two week pack they're only £19.99 here so definitely want some more for my holidays!

Liquid lipsticks

Liquid Lipsticks Review, Kat Von D, Lasplash, Orly, MUA, Rimmel
Liquid Lipsticks Review, Kat Von D, Lasplash, Orly, MUA, Rimmel

I've really found a love for liquid lipsticks, they're so easy to swish on and they're matte. Matte lipsticks always last so much longer on me compared to other lipstick, so I find them perfect for work and nights out. Less applying woo! I've only tried a handful of brands so far as the majority of brands I want to try are American brands and cost a bomb to get a hold of. Help :(

So far the brands I have are Kat Von D, Lasplash Cosmetics, Ofra, Makeup Academy, Rimmel and Maybelline. I'm desperate to try Limecrime, Dose of Colours, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Nyx, but they may have to wait until my next visit to NY. I do find the American brands so much better than any of the UK version of matte lips I've tried which is typical as I can't get them that easy.

Swatches:

Left to Right: Kat Von D L.U.V. - LaSplash Latte Confession - LaSplash Ghoulish - Ofra Laguna Beach - Makeup Academy Atomic - Rimmel Apocaliptic - Maybelline Creme Caramel

You can see from the swatches which are the more 'matte' shades, some of them are still quite wet looking even though I've let them dry for a good few minutes. My ultimate favourites are the Kat Von D range and the Lasplash Cosmetics range, they literally don't come off!

Even after washing them with water the first three barely even move! Whereas the others have basically smudged straight away. I can't wait to get my hands on more the ranges, I've already got an order in for a pretty purple Lasplash lipstick! But that will appear later on!

NARS Satin and Velvet Matte Lip Pencils

If you're part of Sephoras loyalty programme you will know that you get bonuses for different amounts of money you spend in store, I'm a 'Beauty Insider' which means each year I get a Birthday gift, free beauty classes and promotions on products. There is two other ones which are 'VIB' and 'VIB Rouge' where you get a lot more goodies, but only if you spend a lot more pennies! Only downside of all of this is the emails that tempt me to spend my money, I wish they had a UK warehouse though!!

I don't own much from Nars but the little things I do own I absolutely love! Such as the Albatros Highlighter and the Steven Klein Blush Palette! I already have the lip pencil Dolce Vita, it's so easy to swish on so I knew I wanted to try more.

In this box you get a mini Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella, which is a bright scarlet red and a Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien which is a nice and natural rose pink. These are so easy to apply seeing as they are just a pencil shape, though they don't have the longevity like most lipstick, they are so easy to pop into my handbag I don't even mind. The matte shade also isn't drying like you probably find with most matte lipsticks, so it's really easy to wear if you're just delving into the whole matte craze!

Have you tried these before? Are you part of the Sephora beauty insider? I love it :).. I do need to top up my points a little though!

Lush goodies

lush products

I love Lush goodies, there was one point possibly a year ago I had never used a bathbomb and didn't intend to. But after reading so many blogs about them I gave them a go and loved them. I went for a few different ones to usual this time as I wanted to give more a go, I'm still dying for the watermelon one but that will have to wait.

This time round I bought the Blackberry Bath Bomb which smells like palma violets rather than blackberries, but still delish. A little banner also pops out once you put it in your bath! I got the Comforter Bubble Bar, which smells like ribena/bubble gum. I had to buy it after smelling it as it just smelt so nice! I also replaced my Tea Tree Water as I had just ran out of it, I use this as my toner in the mornings and love it. It is so refreshing, and helps your skin if you're having any breakouts.

Have you tried any of these yet?

St Tropez In Shower

st tropez fake tan
st tropez fake tan

I love the look of a tan, but I live in England where it's sunny one day a year and I'm also too lazy to fake tan..ever. So all in all I'm a ghost, and I'm desperate for a tan (cry). When I read about this on a few blogs I knew I wanted to give it a go and see how it worked. It just sounded so easy so it wasn't going to take a lot of time to try it.

I did think at first it was just as easy as washing with it, but you apply it once you've been in the shower. You apply it in circular motions with your hands just like fake tan then wait 3 minutes. Then all you do is wash it off in the shower and go about things as normal. After two uses I actually saw a change in my colour and I didn't have any streaks which is a first for me! The only downside is that the colour doesn't last too long, I was loaded with the flu for a week so didn't bother applying it for a few days and I'm back pale!

I am back to using this every on off day and feeling so much better with a tan again. I'm definitely repurchasing this once I've ran out of it. I still think I have a few weeks left and I've already been using it around 3 weeks. And for £14.50 it's really quite cheap for some fake tans!

Have you tried this yet? What is your favourite fake tan?

Prairie Pizzazz Festival Edition

Prairie accessories
prairie accessories

I know this is a bit belated but my first box went missing so Prairie Charms sent me out a replacement which arrived last week, but here it is! The Prairie Pizzazz box is a subscription box full of little quirky goodies from jewellery to hair accessories. I bought a necklace from Prairie Charms a few month ago and loved it, so when they offered me to join their Pizzazz team to review their first box I was really excited! Their Twitter team are so friendly so couldn't really say no..not that I wanted to either!

In this months box there was Treat bags to go with the popcorn, fringe pendant, Liberty London hair wrap, bracelet duo, hair bow, paper straws, knot ties, temporary tattoos and a head band. There was some really sweet items in which were pretty cute and unusual! I love the little popcorn bags and paper straws, I'm keeping a hold of these for the next girly night! I must admit there isn't much I would get use of, though I do think they're so nice! I just never wear headbands/accessories so they're slightly useless to me. But I do love the majority of the rest! And as much as I love the little butterfly clip, my Grandma collects anything butterflies so I couldn't resist giving her it. Especially how pretty it is, so lovely made out of feathers.

If you love quirky handmade items Prairie Charms is perfect. I also think this box would be great for any young girls too! Have you got anything from Prairie Charms before?

Mac Morange

Mac morange lipstick

I've eyed up this lipstick for well over a year, and could never really make my mind up whether I would ever actually wear it or not. I love the colour so I just thought why not! It's such a vivid orange colour and really good for summer so it's the perfect time to give it a whirl.

It's so pretty in swatches though, I'm sure it could happily sit in my lipstick stand and look good alone..

I'm still quite pale yet as I'm not on holiday until September, but I do think this would suit a darker skin tone so much more. But until then.. I am making the most out of it. I have been wearing this with a little of a darker liner to blend it while I get used to the bright colour. It's a little daunting at first if you're not used to such a bright orange tone. The closest liner I own that nearly matches Morange is Mac's Redd, though I do think Lasting Sensation would be a better match.

Here is what it's like on:

What do you think of Morange? Could you brave it?

The Blogger Beauty Box

Blogger Beauty Box contents
Blogger Beauty Box contents

So the lovely Vicky from VixMeldrew.com told me about her new Blogger Beauty Box she has launched and I was definitely sold straight away. I love a good subscription box so it was right up my street too, I just love the surprise of getting something you didn't really know about and trying something new.

In this month's box there is:

Timeless Truth Green Tea Phenol Mask £4.60 - This mask is meant to reduce pores, even skin tone, reduce breakouts and repair your skin. My skin is in dire need of tlc as I've been neglecting it the past few weeks, so there is a few areas of my skin which need some 'repairing'. I love the smell of this mask and how easy it is to put on/take off. I do feel slightly like Hannibal Lecter wearing it, so glad the boyfriend didn't return home early... but my skin felt so refreshed after taking it off, and I also didn't have to spend ages washing the residue off like normal masks!

W7 Fluorescent Kiss Lipstick £2.99 - I got the shade Tropicana which is a really vivid pink colour. I've been slowly intoducing myself to pink lipstick recently as I still don't wear my RiRi Pleasurebomb lipstick and I love it! I think if you're not used to bright lipstick pink is so hard to get used to, but I'm determined to be able to wear it. I think it can really brighten up a make up look. This shade has a sheen finish to it, it lasts a few hours but with a few drinks/food it will need a little touch up which is normal!

Dusty Mineral Lipgloss £9.99 - I got the shade Sun Shimmer, though they do another colour called Pacific Shimmer. I am glad I got the colour I did as I really like a peach toned gloss for summer/holidays. It's a really moisturising gloss and doesn't dry your lips, I always hate trying to wear a gloss in England though as the wind sticks my hair to my face. But I'm going on holiday soon so it's coming with me! This is a really natural colour so will look nice being fresh faced on holiday!

W7 Eyelust Mascara £4.95 - This isn't tested on Animals which is a great start to read up! This is a black mascara which gives you volume and length! I always find the cheaper mascaras some of the best, I've tried loads of mascaras and I don't find many formulas much different! This has a large brush type applicator rather than a plastic bristle applicator like many mascaras do now! This mascara isn't waterproof though so you will need to remove it properly before going in the shower!

MooGoo Cover-up Buttercup Natural Moisturiser £24.90 - I've never came across a moisturiser with an SPF in before so this is new to me! I did think it was just a moisturiser before I read it properly due to it's formula, it's so easy to apply and isn't greasy like many SPF creams. This provides around 4 hours of protection, but will need reapplied after the pool as it's not waterproof. I'm sticking this in my suitcase for my holidays next month as I need a above 10 SPF for the first day or so.. and I know my milk bottle boyfriend will need it!

I loved this month's boxed and excited to see who is lined up for the next box! If you are interested in a box tweet @bbloggerbox or visit www.beautybloggerbox@gmail.com!

Holiday wishlist

I'm quite excited as at the end of September me and my boyfriend are going on our first holiday just us two! Every other holiday we've been on we have went with either family or friends, so little weary being just us. Hope we don't get lost!! Seeing as this is my first holiday somewhere hot for about 3 years I literally have no clothes to take.. honestly! So I do need to stock up, but don't want to go all out as it's only for a week.

So here are some things I'm desperate for!!

Playsuit | Green Trousers | Playsuit | Black Coverup | Aztec Dress | Black Midi | Pool Sliders | Hat | DD+ Bikini | Grey Skirt | Dress | 2 Piece

eBay is my guilty pleasure.. I can't help but find cute things on there and impulsively buy them. So I have found a lot of goodies on there too. I'm trying to be a little more fashionable than usual, and make the most out of the sunshine!

Have you got any holidays planned this year?
