Prairie Pizzazz Luau Party

Prairie Charms Pizzazz Luau Party Box
Prairie Charms Pizzazz Luau Party Box
Prairie Charms Pizzazz Luau Party Box

I've been anxiously waiting for this box this month (sorry Prairie Charms),  I was so jealous looking at everyone else's boxes I wanted mine so bad. I was super excited about the floral crown, and really wanted it to come on holiday with me! (Especially seeing as it's so cold in the UK now). And it's just as pretty as I imagined it to be! The box really lived up with the luau theme, everything is just so bright and amazing!

In this box there was:
Caterina 'No Snag' Knot ties £7.00 - I got a black lace design and a metalic purple design. My hair is actually too thick to tie my hair with these, but they look lovely over the top of a thin bobble!

Acadia Tropical Punch Drink Set £5.00 - I've never actually tried kool-aid before, but I've seen it everywhere! I'm long overdue a catch up with the girls so these definitely need to come with me when I do. I am super jealous everyone else got a little Flamingo stirrer though, looked really cute.

Hana Bow Tie Scrunchie £7.50 - I used to love scrunchies back in the day, I actually have a few trusty ones around the house still that I use on lazy days. This has a really pretty flamingo design too so I love it! It's coming on holiday with me for a poolside bun!

Pamola Vintage Bead drop Anklet £12.00 - I actually forgot how much I like anklets, especially on holiday. They're always something I grab from one of the local shops. So I'll be taking this on holiday too for by the pool and night time etc. It's really light so it won't irritate you.

Eda Bespoke Floral Lea £50.00 - Now this is amaaazing isn't it! It was I was looking forward to the most in this months box. I never grabbed one over the summer as I just couldn't find one I liked. I absolutely love the colours in this and it will match great with my hair colour too. I'm so excited to wear it!

Dakota Custom Nail Glitter £6.50 - I've never really liked nail glitter, I can't help but pick the bits of glitter off my nails. It's a lovely colour but think I may find a different use for it!

Una Coconut S'more Snacks £3.50 - I've never tried s'mores before, I've only ever seen them on TV! I'm excited to have the fire on in the garden and give these a try, don't think they would be the same without it!

Faryn Hair Clips £5.00 - I love how pretty and simple this is, the little shell on the clip really fits in with the luau theme. This will be so handy for days I just want to clip my fringe back but make it a little more prettier. I would have preferred if it wasn't gold though and was it's natural colour but I still love it regardless.

Sweet As Honey Confetti £3.95 - I'm not sure when I will ever find a use for this to be honest, maybe quite good if you have kids or a party coming up sometime soon though.

Did you get a luau box this month? This one has been my most favourite one yet! Everything in it is so pretty, and the overall amount for this box is amazing considering it is only £20 plus P&P!

Barry M Ultra Moisturising Lip Paints*

Barry M Ultra Moisturising Lip Paints - Autumn Lipstick Shades
Barry M Ultra Moisturising Lip Paints - Autumn Lipstick Shades

It's been a long time for me and BarryM, I used to love all their stuff then so many other brands came about I haven't tried their stuff in so long. I have always loved their nail ranges so I can't see why I wouldn't love their lipstick ranges too.. and from the colours I got, I was immediately sold. Red lips are one of my favourite go to looks, so these shades are right up my street.

These lipsticks have a sheen finish, so they do need topping up throughout the day after drinks etc. But that means they're really moisturising and don't dry out your lips. They also have cocoa butter in too so you don't need to use a lip balm before applying them.

Barry M Ultra Moisturising Lip Paints - Autumn Lipstick Shades - Swatches
Left to right - 163, 156, 162, 160.

The colours actually swatch so much more differently than to what they look like in the tubes, but they're still quite similar. My favourite out of the bunch is '163' (I don't know the actual colour names), but this is so similar to Macs Diva, but the only difference is it isn't a matte finish. These colours are also perfect for Autumn so pretty excited to get using them! And they're only £4.49, so they're really cheap!

Have you tried any of this range yet?

Buckley London*

These were actually the hardest things I've ever tried to take a photo of! But they're so pretty so I needed to share them. I've recently been trying to make a bit more of an effort with myself fashion wise, as I am usually pretty lazy with it. Though I would love to be really fashionable I can't keep up with it all and make up! That's where these little beauties from Buckley London come in, they're sweet little Cubic Zirconia studs which are perfect for day to night wear.

They're really light to wear and go with literally everything. I strangely feel a bit more 'done up' if I have some jewellery on, whether that is earrings or necklaces etc. so I have been really enjoying having them in my collection! They are only £25.00 as well, so they're a real bargain (and I know they won't turn my ears green like cheap ones).

It's the first time I've came across this brand and I already have a wish list off the website, they have vintage inspired pieces which is the best way to tempt me! I mean, look how pretty they are (heart faced emoji, obviously).

Can you tell I like pear shaped jewellery yet?! I literally can't get enough of it. These would be a lovely addition to my Christmas list if anyone fancies it.. ha!

Is there any jewellery on your wish list so far?

Marc Jacobs Beauty Insider

Through new Eyes Sephora Marc Jacobs Beauty Insider 500 reward point gift
Through new Eyes Sephora Marc Jacobs Beauty Insider 500 reward point gift

So a little while back I bought some things from Sephora (online so I got murdered with their taxes and shipping) but one perk of it all was that I got my free 500 point gift. I was holding off to order until a good one came up as I wasn't too interested in the Dr. Brandt 500 point gift that was on before this. But as soon as I saw this one I wanted it, I got one Marc Jacobs lipstick and loved it so I definitely wanted another one..

So in the box I got Precision Pen Waterproof liner, Lip Creme in Magenta 224, Highliner Gel Eye Crayon and a Megalash Volumising mascara. They aren't full sized products, but they're still a good enough size to try all of them out and see what they're like. I love the lipstick though, one of my favourite shades.. it's a deep plum colour which I love all year round. It is a sheen finish though so it doesn't last as long as matte shades, but it's tiny enough to throw in any bag anyway!

The liner pen is pretty amazing too, it has a really sharp nib to get literally the easiest cat eye look! (Unless you have a super shaky hand haha). It isn't gloopy of anything so you aren't going to smudge it or have thick lines. I like this as it doesn't transfer under my brows like a lot of liners do on me, so that saves me some time when out and about as I don't have to rub it off!

The gel liner was pretty strange looking to me, it literally feels like gel but in pencil form and goes on a lot easier than a pen. You don't have to apply any pressure to get a really good colour from it either. The packaging really makes this for me though, it looks so fancy in it's metallic silver casing. It also is so hard wearing, I mean I drew a line on my arm and it still has a faint line after trying to remove it!

The mascara to me isn't what I'm used to, it's been a long time since I used mascara with bristles rather than the plastic bristles. It's really similar to Bobbi Browns smokey mascara (if you've tried it), it gives you great volume but not the best length. So if you have good lashes this is pretty good, but if you like lengthening mascara it isn't too good at that! I'm still dying to try Lancome's cult mascara.

I absolutely loved this box though, I'm really glad I got the chance to grab this before it sold out. I just need to build up my points so I can get another one next time. Have you got anything from the Sephora points programme?

Blogger Beauty Box #2!

The Blogger Beauty Box - Yes to, Makeup Revolution, Maoam, Beautiful Movements Cosmetics
The Blogger Beauty Box - Yes to, Makeup Revolution, Maoam, Beautiful Movements Cosmetics

Now Vix Meldrew has been torturing me in emails about this month's Blogger Beauty Box, so I was super excited to get it! I've cancelled my Birchbox already as I'm liking what I get in this so much more. In case you missed my post last month here, the Blogger Beauty Box is a range of beauty products and skincare products in a pretty little box delivered to you, they are a lot more exciting than the other boxes I've tried as it's mostly make up.. thank god!! Plus the added quirk which makes it all that much better too.

So in this months box there was:

Yes to Blueberries facial wipes: I got the cucumber version of these wipes donkeys ago and loved them, and they were super handy to carry around in my handbag. So I'm so glad to have some more of them as I've just ran out conveniently! These smell so much more appealing that cucumber too, they're so refreshing to use. I don't actually use wipes to remove my make up properly though, but these are a must have for your handbag when your face feels rank from make up. There are around £3.00 from the likes of ASOS and Beauty Bay etc, I would really recommend them. These are coming on holiday with me!

Yours Truly Organics: This is a new brand to me, I haven't came across them before. It's always nice to find out new brands. This is a facial serum for oily and blemish prone skin (which is me), and I've heard can also be used as a spot cream as it reduces redness. This is a little too heavy for me to wear under my make up, but I needed a night time moisturiser so this is perfect. Especially seeing as it's perfect for my skin type too, will hopefully get rid of these spots!! The full size of the product is b£28.00.

Sniffy Wiffy - Lemongrass and Lime Moisturiser: In the full size tubs these moisturisers have a self examination label for breast checking (and the mens version has testicular checking steps on). I love this idea, as there is so many people I know who don't bother to do this and hopefully this will remind people! I got the scent Lemongrass and Lime, which is a lovely scent but maybe a little too citrus to me. But I haven't had a single reaction to it with my sensitive skin so I am still using it. It's a really handy travel size too if you have any holidays planned. This tub is £6.50 in full size, which is a total bargain!

Beautiful Movements Cosmetics in Gypsy Spirit: This is a really pigmented coral lipgloss. You can actually buy this in Holland & Barrets for some reason, but it's a non-drying lipgloss and lasts quite a long time. I'm not much of a lipgloss fan, but I do occasionally break them out when it's not windy! This colour would have been great for summer too! These retail at £12.00, which you couldn't complain at. If you love glosses I would definitely recommend this.

Makeup Revolution Lipstick in Beloved: I do love MR products, but they don't sell it anywhere near me so it's rare I grab anything which is a shame as I love their matte lipsticks. And for £1.00 they're sooooo cheap! I got another bright colour, but more pink this time. It really is a lovely shade and reminds me a bit of Mac Hoop. It's not a matte colour but I wouldn't say it was a sheen finish either.. I don't know!

And also a maoam sweetie which I have pulled myself away from gobbling it so it could be in the picture..

I loved this month's box though, have you signed up yet?

Holiday plans

Image - Google

My boyfriend really hates how I organise everything as he is sooooo laid back. But I hate knowing I'm going somewhere without having an idea in mind of what I want to do. It is a nice relaxing holiday too but I do want to make the most of us having free time together without anything else getting in the way. And actually even though we've been together over 4 years now we have never actually been away alone ever?! Crazy.

So yeah anyway, we're going to Lanzarote in September, which is a place I've never been to before but David has. I've been to Tenerife which is a Canary Island too and I loved it, so hoping this place will be the same. I'm also hoping it will be super hot so I can finally rid this ghostly colour..

I've bought heaps of clothes I said I wasn't going to buy too so I want to be able to wear them and go places! I do like the days of lying around the pool and doing nothing, or wandering to the shops and buying a little braided bracelet. I'll do all that too!

There is two things I want to do:

Rancho Texas
This is a animal park and a little water park. I think this will be a nice way to spend a day and keep busy! And at least it is outside so we can get a tan at the same time! I do like visiting little zoo's and water parks when I'm away.

Timanfaya National Park
I quite want to go here in the evening to see the sunset across the volcanic area, there is a restaurant with a view of the whole area to watch the sunset. I've always wanted to see the steam coming from the bore holes too cause I'm really interesting like that...

Have you been before? Can you give me more ideas of what to do? Is there any quirky markets?
I'd love to know anything else to do as I've never been before!

Limited edition Mac lipsticks

Through New Eyes - Mac limited edition lipsticks
Through New Eyes - Mac limited edition lipsticks
Through New Eyes - Mac limited edition lipsticks

I am a sucker for anything Mac, and even more so when they bring out limited edition shades! I really love red lipsticks which you can probably tell from above, so they're usually my go to shade if there's a new range out (that or purple). I do have many other Mac lipsticks but they're just not as fun as some pretty packaging.

The majority of these are mattes too, just as I think mattes last a lot longer than other finishes. But hey I do own a load that aren't matte either!

Swatches:
Mac Limited Edition Lipsticks Swatches - RiRi Mac, Mac Osbournes

Each one of the lipsticks is so pigmented, you don't have to swatch them heavy to get an even colour. I always find Mac lipsticks last better with a liner, and it also stops them bleeding. So if you are going to grab one, grab a matching liner or even a Rimmel liner as they're just as good! I know Summer means you're meant to wear the soft neautral blah blah, but I'm literally a red/purple lip all year round person so they're always going to be my first purchase. Which also means I am soo happy it's Autumn, my lipstick will actually be in fashion for the rest of the year (maybe). Strip Poker was a buy a bit on a whim, I really wanted the lilac shade but it was sold out so I literally bought it for the packaging. I mean don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful shade.. but I'm sooo pale it just does nothing for me :(.

My all time favourite shade out of my limited editions is my Mac Barbecue, it's so wearable through the day and even on a night out. It's a super bright orange-red tone and it gives your skin that lovely bronzed glow look. Another favourite is Pleasure Bomb, but I tend to not use it AS much as the others cause it was soooo hard to get a hold of. It's a beautiful colour! I need Mac to bring out some new collection in some nice packaging as it's been a while!

Mac Heroine

Mac Cosmetics Heroine Purple Lipstick Review
Mac Cosmetics Heroine Purple Lipstick Review

If you follow my blog you'll know by now that I love purple lipstick! I've been after this one for a while after I saw my hairdresser wearing it, I already have Violetta which is the amplified version of this and I love it. This is Mac's Heroine lipstick, which is a bright purple colour with a matte finish. I love Mac's matte formula as I find they sit perfectly with my lips and don't clump into ming patches like some do. They also last a lot longer than any of the other finishes as they're drier.

I love how different a bright purple lip can make your make up look, it really finishes it off or makes it that little bit more exciting! This is getting re-released again in Mac's matte collection, so I'm reaaally hoping it's not going to be in some limited edition packaging or I'll be gutted! I've been using this lipstick with the liner 'Fashion Boost' by Mac as it's the perfect match of a colour.

Swatches:

Left - Heroine Lipstick & Right - Fashion Boost Liner

I mean, if you're looking to break yourself into the world of coloured lipstick I will 100% recommend that purples for a place to start. It's fun to apply and looks great on any skin tone. I literally can't get enough of purples haha. So now that I own all of Mac's bright purples I may have to venture to another brand now, unless they're bringing out another colour soon..

Do you have a favourite purple shade?

Sephora palette

Sephora eyeshadow palette with bright coloured packaging and the same bright colours inside.

I've never tried any of the Sephora's own range before, so their palettes were completely new to me. I must admit I only bought this for it's case at first.. I've never really been adventurous with colours so I was looking forward to trying them all out. There is a shimmer shades and matte shades in the palette, so are quite good to create a range of looks!

I was pretty excited for this to arrive, I don't have very many eyeshadow palettes for some reason so nice pretty new ones are pretty big for me. I think I may be the only beauty blogger without a Naked palette! I keep meaning to be more experimental with my eye makeup but just still haven't had the time to try it out, I will one day jump on the band wagon of these palettes!

Sephora eyeshadow palette with bright coloured packaging and the same bright colours inside.

I must admit I've been really enjoying using this palette, whether it was a simply smokey eye with gold tones or with a hint of colour in the corners. To be fair I work most days of the week so when I do get to do my make up I can't really go vibrant too much.. These colours are so pigmented though and you don't have to press hard to actually get some colour on your brush. The only one which doesn't stand out too much in the swatches is the Yellow colour at the top but it does show up a lot more on the eye and is great for a little highlight.

The Bold Bronze shade at the bottom left is my all time favourite, a gold/bronze is my go to shade for my eyes. I just find it so easy to make it look nice and quickly for work. I'm still getting used to the Prismatic Purple shade but I will get there! It took me ages to wear my Mac Cranberry and I can't get enough of it now.

The palette comes with a handy little brush, one is angled and one if the generic rounded eyeshadow brush, but they are really nice quality so are super handy in the palette. There is also a eyeliner pencil which has a good lasting power to it and also doesn't smudge above the eyes (does anyone else's eyeliners do this??). The eyeliner really finishes off any look you're going for, and is a handy little palette to carry around too.

I definitely need another Sephora palette, but that will have to wait until Christmas time as it's just so expensive to order from there!! What is your favourite palette you would recommend?
