Last minute stocking fillers

As much as I love choosing the main presents, I do love trying to find all the filler presents for people. Whether they're funny ones, handy ones or just that little extra something. Sometimes I love the little filler presents more than some of my others, you can get some really sweet smaller gifts! I'm pretty easily pleased by just a candle (or lipstick).

Kylie Holiday Collection

Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Collection 2016

It's probably no surprise that I grabbed some of the Kylie Holiday Collection, I'm quite often raving about her lipsticks and practically wear one of the shades everyday. I just love the formula of them. I set my alarm (like the saddo that I am) to order these and in my panic forgot what I wanted and grabbed to two most obvious things. I also stupidly grabbed a lipstick twice so now I have two Vixens, impulse buyer problems.. that's even after thoroughly discussing what I wanted with Chapters of Kat! If I had an unlimited bank balance and didn't need to eat I would've bought the bundle cause I wanted everything, but I looove what I did grab.

Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Collection 2016

One which I knew I wanted as soon as I saw it on Kylies snapchat was the minis, I mean why wouldn't I want to try loads of shades at once?! Plus there was a few shades in here I wanted to buy the lip kits for, but this was easier to grab (and cheaper). I am now currently regretting not getting the other set and the metallics though, boo. I've been desperate for Ginger and Kirsten for ages, so glad I managed to get my hands on them! Angel is a limited edition shade, it reminds me slightly of Smile I never managed to grab!

Another I grabbed, which for me is unusual, is the Naughty Gloss. I never ever wear gloss, so this one is going to take some getting used to, the pigmentation is perfect though. It is so much more opaque than I imagined, I remember glosses being so transparent the last time I wore them. This shade is going to be absolutely perfect for Christmas and will look fab over my Too Faced Lady Balls lipstick too!

Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Collection 2016

Plus just look at the packaging?! Isn't it amazing! Vixen which I also have, comes in a fab hanging box to pop on the tree. So keep an eye on that one for a giveaway on Twitter coming up soon!

Swatches:
Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Collection 2016 swatches
Left to Right: Moon, Ginger, Kirsten, Angel, Love Bite and Vixen

Nothing beats Ginger and Kirsten for me, they're my two all time favourites of the bunch. Ginger is very similar to Pumpkin though, but no one can have enough brown toned lipsticks! Vixen is very similar to spice, even more so in terms of application, it takes a lot of work to make sure it's not patchy but once you've got it perfect it's amazing on. Such a beaut vampy lip!

So glad I managed to grab a few bits from this collection. Did you manage to grab anything?

To me from me - Kate Spade Byrdie

I've been desperate for a Kate Spade bag for a while now, I could never quite decide which I wanted and really wanted to choose one in person! But seeing as I wasn't off to New York this December any more I thought I would treat myself to a small one. I was stuck between this one and the multicoloured Byrdie but everyone on Twitter swerved me toward this as it will go with everything!

Too Faced Merry Kissmas

Too Faced Merry Kissmas Christmas Gift Set

I can't resist Christmas sets, especially when it comes to Too Faced and Benefit. They do the best ones ever! I didn't manage to get any last year and I was still a little gutted up until I managed to grab these from Debenhams. I've always wanted to try Too Faced lipsticks as everyone seems to rave about them and well I just love Too Faced in general so I wanted them anyway..

Urban Decay Moondust Palette

Urban Decay Moondust palette review

Ever since I got my eyes on this palette I wanted it, it's just so sparkly and pretty! I always thought I would never use glitter as I'm completely useless with it and my face always ends up like a disco ball. But the Moondust palette is so so easy to use I'm now a glitter convert. I could quite easily use this every single day.

Quirky Christmas Gift Guide

I love buying things that are a little bit 'different', there is only so much I can find wandering around the shopping centre. I like buying gifts for people that are a little more on the quirky side then popping them into a pretty box from Paperchase (I also hoard those gift boxes, they're too pretty), that's why websites like UncommonGoods are perfect. I always think parents are two of the hardest people to buy for! So I thought I would do a nice quirky gift guide for all! I always love this time of year as gift guides help me out heaps, if only there was ones for every persons birthday...

Best Budget Matte Lipsticks

Rimmel Only 1 Matte Lipstick

I know some of you's are probably sick of seeing these by now, but I'm not sick at looking at them. The shades are all so perfect I can't stop using them. If you read this quite often you probably know by now that I can't get enough of matte lipsticks, so when I received these they were straight up my street. Plus any matte collection with a purple shade in is going to win me over anyway, nothing beats a purple lip!

Autumn/Winter Skincare - Skin Chemists Advanced Caviar range

Skin Chemists Advanced Caviar skincare range

It's getting to that time of year where I need to start taking care of my skin a bit more. I have combination skin which I always hate trying to find a good balance with, I have some bits that are stupidly oily and other bits that are horrid and dry. This is when I need to actually use a night moisturiser and give myself a little bit of tlc as I tend to neglect my skincare a little bit.

Kylie Cosmetics Pumpkin and Spice

Pumpkin and Spice Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits
Pumpkin and Spice Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits

As much as I love Kylie Lip Kits, I very rarely buy them as I hate the fees and the faff of trying to buy them. That's until I saw Pumpkin and I knew I needed that shade asap, yep really did. Another shade may have snuck into my order, but seeing as I was making one anyway I may as well have. I really wanted Smile at the time too, but I completely missed out on that one and it was a one off - little cry as it was an amazing shade! These two aren't my first Lip Kits, my first two were Posie K and 22 - which are amaaazing. This time I thought I would try out buying with a mail forwarding service through MyMallBox rather than directly to see if it was cheaper!

Beauty addicts dream - Christmas with Debenhams

I know I can't be the only person who is obsessed with Christmas. I love everything about it from buying people gifts to all the huge Christmas collections that come out (Too Faced I'm looking at you). I love it when there is one shop you can get all your good gifts from too, Debenhams you are winning.

If you follow me on Instagram you probably know by now that I'm obsessed with Spectrum Brushes. Not only do they just look absolutely amazing, they're super super soft too. I haven't own a full set of Spectrum brushes before, the set I currently have is the 4 Piece Contour Set which I love! I was so so glad to get my hands on the 10 Piece Essential Set, best way to finish off my little collection.

So it may come to no surprise that I've ordered from Colourpop again, I literally can't help myself. I've loved everything I've grabbed so far so can't resist when I get emails telling me there is free international delivery.. You can see my other Colourpop hauls here and here. This is the first time I've ordered from Colourpop direct, every other time I've used mail forwarding services. This way was way quicker, but obviously free this time round!

Trying out the WunderExtension and WunderKiss range

See my WunderKiss and WunderExtension review here

I've loved Wunder products ever since I got my hands on Wunderbrow (which is amazing). I was so excited when I was given the opportunity to try out their mascara and plumping gloss! I never really hear people mention Wunder products for some reason, I'm not sure if it's cause they're not the easiest to grab in stores?! But I'm yet to try one I don't like from their range!

See my WunderKiss and WunderExtension review here

The first I got was the WunderExtensions (£19.95) mascara which a lengthening and volumising mascara. This is the first time in god knows how long I've not used a plastic bristle brush, and I actually love it. It separates your lashes perfectly and the fibres extend your lashes so well. I used to swear by my Benefit Rollerlash but I have barely touched it since!

See my WunderKiss and WunderExtension review here

The WunderExtensions is a mixture of a blue and black formula (think back to the white and black mascaras when you were younger ha)! The blue formula adds volume to your lashes and hydrates them. The black formula adds fibres to lengthen your lashes without making them spider leg like!

See my WunderKiss and WunderExtension before and after here

I don't think I realised how little my lashes are?! Where on earth did they go??

You can see how much of a difference the mascara makes. I've been using this now for probably over 2 month and I still love it. Though it has went a little bit thicker in formula, but most mascaras don't last all that long, and it still works perfectly. Unlike my Maybelline mascaras, this actually comes off so easily with or without an eye make up remover and doesn't give you the horrid panda eyes in the morning or after a shower. I'll definitely be grabbing this again.

See my WunderKiss and WunderExtension review here

Next up is the WunderKiss (£24.95) plumping gloss. I've tried the Too Faced plumping tint, and although it had a nice colour, it didn't do anything so I was a little dubious about this. The WunderKiss gloss is a clear gloss which you can put over a lip shade or wear on its own. The formula almost gives your lips a 3D look to them even before the plumping.

See my WunderKiss and WunderExtension review here

There is three levels of plump in this which you add into the gloss with the syringe type contraption. The first is for light plumping, then medium and then maximum plumping. You squeeze in the level you want, pump the gloss so it all mixes then you apply it to your lips. I started off with the first level for a while then made my way up to the maximum just to see what it would do. I was actually pretty impressed with this, even my friends have been using it!

This does have an ever so slight tingling sensation but nothing uncomfortable. The plumping look only lasts a few hours, so nothing long term. But good for a good little quick fix. I've been stashing this for nights out as I don't want to run out of it as I love how it makes a bold lip look. Though I've enjoyed using this, I don't think I would repurchase it as it isn't something I really need in my routine. If you like plump lips without the fillers though, this is for you!

Have you tried any of these out before?

Too Faced Ross & Rachel

See my review of Too Faced Ross and Rachel Bronzer

I've actually hoarded this palette for a while now, I don't know why I never got around to talking about it as I use it so much. It obviously doesn't look like this anymore, as much as it upset me to ruin the pretty lines, but I am glad I took photos when I bought it. I actually grabbed this beauty from TK Maxx, they really do have the most random but best makeup stock!

Favourite Autumn Red Lips

Autumn is my all time favourite season for lipsticks, it means I can break out all my reds and not look weird in the office (not that it ever stopped me). I know August is all about berry shades, but I've already covered them not all that long ago (here) and these are definitely my go to's for the perfect Autumn red shade. And as if by miracle this is probably my first lipstick favourites post that doesn't include all Mac lipsticks! I'm venturing out eventually!

How I edit my Instagram photos

I love love Instagram, it's one of my favourite apps that I'm addicted to! I remember the time I used to post countless pictures of my dogs, and now I have OCD about my theme ha. I feel sad saying that, but I do really enjoy having a pretty theme though I know themes aren't everyones cups of tea. I thought I would do a post on editing Instagram images with my favourite app. I usually take my Instagram photos on my DSLR in bulk, but sometimes do take some with just my iPhone. My photos forever have a blue tinge cause of the bad lighting I have at home, I'm starting to grow to like the effect!

My favourite App is Afterlight - it's not free, but it's only 79p so not exactly breaking the bank! I was at one point obsessed with VSCO, but I changed my Instagram theme to the white borders a little while back (which I then changed back from), which VSCO didn't have. If you love a good filter/exposure VSCO is probably best for you, but if you want a white border of some form then Afterlight is amazing and so so easy to use. It also doesn't pixelate any of your images either, which made a huge difference to my Instagram..I haaate fuzzy images!

H&M Face masks - Witch Hazel and Willowherb

Read more about H&M skincare range

I was quite intrigued by these little cute face masks when everyone was raving about them. It's not often I like to introduce new things into my skincare range but I really couldn't resist! I did initially pick up about 3 of these then realised I already have 4 different masks at home, how many more do I need?! Out of all the choices (there is so many) I thought this one would be the best for my skin type, as by now I'm sure you're aware I get oily skin! I'm currently regretting only grabbing one so far now, this one quickly became one of my favourites.

Irresistible Me Hair Straightening Brush*

Read the Irresistible Me straightening brush review

I always get intrigued by these hair gadgets on Youtube, I very rarely make as much effort with my hair as I ever do with my makeup so it makes a good change to try something new. This is the ceramic tourmaline hair straightener brush from Irresistible Me. I have really thick annoying hair which 1. takes forever to dry and 2. straightens for about half an hour then turns into a bouffant. Never a good look really. So I will literally try anything to make my hair a bit more management and something that doesn't cause loads of damage. Curly my mane every single day is completely ruining it!

Keeping my oily skin blemish free

How I keep my oily skin blemish free

I haaate having spots, I feel like surely I've now reached an age where I should stop getting them?! I literally try anything to avoid getting them, as soon as I feel one impending I run for all of these and lather them all over. I'm sure my boyfriend really enjoys me rolling into bed with spot cream all over looking lush, but he'll have to tough it out (ha)! I've probably mentioned these a few times this past year, but never fully talked about how I actually look after my oily skin. These are literally my holy grail products!

How I'm getting along with my Tria hair removal laser*

See how I'm getting along with Tria at home laser removal

So I'm roughly now 3 treatments in now with my Tria Beauty laser since my first introduction post, each treatment you wait two weeks in between before re-treating the same area so it may seem like a small amount of treatments but it's been over a month now. So far though I'm already seeing some progress, especially on my underarms. I know it's still early days, so I can't expect huge results but I'm so far pretty impressed!

See how I'm getting along with Tria at home laser removal

For me my underarms would need shaved nearly each morning, which is a total and utter pain. But after my 3 treatments so far I can go over 2 days, obviously they aren't perfect but after 3 times I'm happy! Makes all the nipping laser feeling a little more worth it, eh! To be honest though, any pain is better than epilator pain.. my life!

I haven't noticed much difference in my legs apart from they're a little sparser in some areas, but I would imagine my legs will take a lot more patience than an underarm! I'm excited to see how much difference this makes my the end of it all!

Have you tried one of these out yet?

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Read my Urban Decay primer potion review here

I was always in two minds as to whether a eyeshadow primer would be worthwhile, I had tried a few brands - some cheap some higher end - and they just weren't all that. I have supppeeer oily lids, I don't know who passed that crappy gene onto me but eyeshadow just doesn't last an hour on me. I religiously used cream eyeshadows on my lids, which did work, but again didn't last how long I needed/wanted them to. Everyone literally told me to buy this and I just wasn't convinced after all the other ones I had tried.. but I got it off my boyfriend for my Birthday so I eventually got to try it out!
