Autumn/Winter Skincare - Skin Chemists Advanced Caviar range

Skin Chemists Advanced Caviar skincare range

It's getting to that time of year where I need to start taking care of my skin a bit more. I have combination skin which I always hate trying to find a good balance with, I have some bits that are stupidly oily and other bits that are horrid and dry. This is when I need to actually use a night moisturiser and give myself a little bit of tlc as I tend to neglect my skincare a little bit.

This is where the Skin Chemist Advanced Caviar moisturisers come in, and I was so glad to be given them as they came at the perfect time. There is two different versions I received one is a serum and one is a moisturiser, I've been using the serum in the mornings and the moisturiser as my evening face cream. I've been using these almost 3 months now and been loving them, I always give my moisturisers longer to test than make up as your skin always reacts differently to them at first.

I don't like using overly oily products on my face in the mornings, I like a moisturiser that soaks in perfectly as I hate trying to apply my make up with a horrible residue like feeling on my skin. The Advanced Caviar Facial Serum dries to a matte texture and really covers all my pores, it has an almost tight feeling once it's dried which creates the perfect base. I even sometimes use this as a primer under my foundation, it has the similar texture as the Nivea Post Shave Balm (which I use every day still), not as long lasting but it's sometimes nice to not have heaps of product on your face! I mix between this and my Bioderma Sebium each morning, depending on what sort of skin day I'm having.

The Advanced Caviar Duo Moisturiser has a complete different texture to the serum, it isn't matte but also not so oily it leaves your skin greasy. It has a nice light texture which soaks straight in, I love applying this before bed and waking up in the morning with plumped skin. My skin also hasn't broken out with either of these, which is one thing I always worry about when adding to my skincare routine! I've noticed such good improvements in my skin now I've started to actually take care of it, I haven't had a breakout in so long (touch wood). A combination of this and my oily skin care saviours, my skins the best it's been for years! Chuffed!
