The Laundrette - Carbs and Cocktails

Ever since I had heard about The Laundrette opening in Newcastle I had been desperate to try it out, I kept seeing photos of their Manchester branch on Instagram and it looked amazing. When I got the chance to go across I jumped, so me and one of the work girls popped across for some Thursday indulging! With cocktails and carbs being involved me and Danielle didn't even think twice about going!

There is nothing I love more than quirky cocktail classes, so when these arrived I loved them. Danielle's came with some form of salted caramel candy floss which was yum too! I obviously opted for gin as it's my favourite and grabbed the Rhubarb Gin Smash which was so lovely and sweet, and Danielle's was the Raspberry Flossi.

We started with the truffle smoked cheese fondu with garlic dough balls, this was both of our first cheese fondu and it was amazing! I think I could have quite happily have had just a giant tub of this all night and been quite happy. The staff were really tentative and also asked if we wanted any extra dough balls, unfortunately I had to keep room for the main!

I had already planned two days beforehand that I wanted the Carbonara pizza, I love how unusual the flavours are in these rather than your bog-standard pizza! This is the first one I've had with the yolk in the middle and it was such a nice touch. The #1 Burger looked so good too and the cajun fries were such a nice touch.

Obviously you have to finish with cocktails too (no room for dessert), so I grabbed the Pimpin' Pornstar and the Plantation Punch. Now how cute is the pineapple with the ice cream in?! I would love to go back and try more of their cocktails, if we didn't have work I definitely would have tried the Bubble Bath as it just sounded so fun!

I would definitely go back to The Laundrette, I already have my eyes on the sharing fondu board!!

Have you tried The Laundrette before?
