Fitness goals with the Some Body range!

Superdrug Some Body range

So even though I do go to the gym a few times a week, I wouldn't say my fitness is all that good. I still hyperventilate when I reach the 5th floor at uni and I still couldn't run to the fridge. So I've vowed to myself that I will learn how to run this year and try and get Crossfit to make a difference, instead of eating every burger in human sight. I've started so far my meal prepping 2+ weeks of lunches for work, which I'll write about soon, and trying to get to the gym 5 days a week. As were off to Bali in a few month I really want to feel good about myself too, so hopefully this will help!

Superdrug Some Body range

That's where Superdrug comes in, they have released their Some Body range. They do a range of protein powders, snacks, drinks and pre-made protein shakes. For me, finding affordable proteins and protein food is really tough. I mean I do swear by Protein World, but I have to ration it as I can't always splurge on it. The Some Body range is really affordable, the protein powders are £17.99 for 600g and they're so yummy too. I have the strawberry one, which reminds me of McDonalds strawberry milkshakes, but healthy.. perks!

I can not tell you how many times I have tried to make protein pancakes from scratch, for me it just does not work at all. I am terrible. So a premixed pancake mix that are A) easy to make, B) healthy and C) super cheap. In the pack you get 3 50g sachets which can make roughly 3 pancakes depending on how thick you like them. I love these for a brunch on a Saturday after the gym, mostly as I don't have time to make them on a week day.

Healthy snacks in all my local stores always cost a comb, they're usually roughly £3 for one bar which just isn't sustainable. Well, at least I can not afford £3 odd on just one protein bar a day! The chocolate and orange, and salted fudge bars are only £1.49 and their popcorn is only 70p! A lot cheaper to either grab on a shopping trip or to stock up on for work snacks.

I really hope they bring more of this range out! As it's definitely needed to perk myself up out of the January blues and feeling better about myself!

Did you know that Superdrug did some research and revealed that for 6 out of 10 Brits a simple compliment in January is the way to stay motivated with New Year goals. 88% believed more compliments need to be given in January than any other month to encourage, inspire and motivate during the bleak cold winter. I think we should all take time to compliment someone every day, that one little compliment can make someone have that added bit of confidence!

Dr Becky Spelman, Registered Practitioner Psychologist member of BABCP backs the findings, saying, "When it comes to getting fit, losing weight, or focusing on our health, positive acknowledgement is very useful. Hearing that we are looking good from people, and that the time and effort we have invested in our health are bearing fruit, actually spurs us on to do even more."

So now your new initiative is, compliment someone on something! If you like their dress - tell them. If you love their make up or hair today - tell them! You could make someones day.
