Makeup Revoloution

Everyone has been going on and on about Revolution make up products so I was desperate to get my hands on some. It has taken my local superdrug's ages to stock these, so I am a little late on the bandwagon. I am happy I jumped on it though.. I did stand and stare at the counter for a good 10 minutes before I could even make my mind up which to buy (or contemplated buying them all).

My first purchase was the Iconic 3 palette, with a mixture of mattes, shimmers and pearl shades it's perfect for any neutral look. They do a lot of different colours in this palette but this was the one I thought I would use the most.

I was drawn to this when I first walked up to the stand, I just love gold and pinky eye shadow tones as they are create for a bit of sparkle on neutral looks or on smokey eyes. For this only being £4.00 you cannot complain in the slightest! All of the colours are really pigmented and there is barely any fall out, which usually what happens with cheaper makes.

And next I got the Salvation: Welcome to the Pleasuredome palette, this one is £6.00 but you get a few extra colours/finishes and it comes with a fancy packaging. I was stuck between this one and the Dia De Los Muertos pallete, but thought I would get more use out of this one. (Still tempted to go back for the other).

This palette comes with a mixture of neutral and vibrant colours and also shimmer and matte finishes depending on your look. All of the colours work amazing together, go for all out bright colours or neutral with a pop of colour.

This palette has a mixture of neutral colours and blues, so nice way to start playing with colours on your eyes. The top photo is of all the shimmer colours, which are all really pigmented, especially the blue colours. The bottom photo is of the matte colour which weren't as pigmented but create a lovely base to shade.

What is your favourite from their collection so far?

  1. I'm loving Makeup Revolution. Such a great budget brand. I have the Naked 3 palette and the Iconic 3 is so, so similar. And the shadows feel quite good for what I've seen in store. For only £4 I think it's a complete no brainer for those who want a dupe for the Urban Decay palette. x
