December Birchbox

birchbox, nail varnish, models own, benefit, eyeko, trilogy, highlighter, make up, bbloggers, electric

I am slightly delayed with sharing my Birchbox this month as it's just been so crazy this month I've barely had time to keep up. But it was definitely too good to not share, so better late than never right? I must admit though, I was a little disappointed there wasn't much of a Christmas theme like last year.

Decembers box was a collab with Sophia Webster, hense the little Sophia Webster purse and the big jewelly box! There wasn't much of a Christmas theme apart from the nice glittery Models Own polish (which has a pretty fury lid). The little Benefit cracker was so cute though with the mini High Beam in.

In this months box there was:

Ilsci Organics Gel Mask £39.95 - Which is a 'plant based' gel mask that you apply and leave to dry before washing off. I must admit this is a little stinky and that has put me off using it!

Electric Hair Hydrate Shampoo £17.50 - This is a good sized sample which will have quite a lot of uses in it! This apparently will help repair any damage done to your hair.. but time will see!

Eyeko Fat Eye Stick in Smoke £8.00 - Seeing as I got the darker colour this will be great to apply near the lash area for added smokey effect. Also will help me on days when I can't be bothered to put on eyeliner!

Benefit Christmas Cracker - High Beam £19.50 - I've never used a liquid highlighter before but I'm excited to give this a go. It has a beautiful pink/white glow to it and will also be perfect for highlighting my brow bone.

Models Own Nail Polish in Amethyst £5.00 - I love the packaging for this and it's beautiful bright colour glitter! This has a velvety finish rather than shiny, but I found the consistency really hard to paint with and it was really thick! Think this would be lovely without the velvet finish.

Trilogy Certified Rosehip Oil £16.50 - This is for dry skin and you are meant to rub a few drops into dry skin to perk it up. I get terrible dry skin in the winter so I'm glad I got this, hopefully it will rid me of it.. but I will give it a few days to give it a chance to work!

Last of all was the Sophia Webster purse which is a Birchbox exclusive and retails for £25.. I must admit I wouldn't pay £25 for this tiny purse as it feels quite cheap. But the design is pretty so it will come in handy as a small bag for little make up bits I carry about.

What did you think of this months Birchbox? Did you think it would be more Christmassy?

  1. This month's looks really nice! I love the Benefit cracker, and the nail varnish is a lovely colour - it's a shame about the formula x

    1. The cracker was definitely my favourite part! I was gutted about the formula though, the colour looked so nice in the pot x
