Does anyone else notice one of their products becoming empty so you buy a replacement then it never seems to empty?? Well this is what I did with all my Liz Earle goodies, but not that I regret replacing them as there was a few more things I've had a chance to try. I've loved her hot cloth cleanser for well over a year now, it just works so well with my skin type and makes it feel clean and fresh!

I bought all of these from QVC, which I've never actually ordered from before but a lady at work swears by them so I thought I'd give it a go! They also do sets of the products a lot cheaper than I have found anywhere else yet. I decided to get the 3 Piece Clear Skin Collection, I chose this over the others as I'm trying to find a gentle exfoliator that does the job as well as not causing me to break out. Seeing as my other Liz Earle products have been perfect for my skin I thought her cleanser could join that line!

So in this set you receive a Cleanse & Polish (100ml), Deep Cleansing Mask (75ml), Gentle Exfoliator (50ml), 2 sponges and 2 huge muslin cloths. So you do get a good varied amount in here and some extra muslin cloths definitely won't go a miss with me! Now the sponges are a newbie for me, I didn't really have a clue what to do with them when I got them. But they're great for removing the mask/exfoliator and even the Cleanse & Polish, but you have to make sure you rinse them out properly though or they won't last long!

I have oily combination skin and use my Cleanse & Polish with my Magnitone brush every night and it leaves my skin feeling really clean! I also have sensitive skin so it doesn't break me out or cause me to have even more spots (phew), I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a light cleanser.

I've been using the Glamglow mask since I got back from New York and I've been loving it, but I have been using this in between Glamglow so I can prolong it. It doesn't have a strong scent to it, so again if you're sensitive it's great, and it also doesn't leave your skin feeling dry or too tight after using it eventhough it does have a mattifying finish to it. It also hasn't made me break out (wooo).

And last of all the exfoliator! I've been desperate to find a exfoliator which isn't too harsh on my face, I've found all the tea tree ones to be totally brutal and too strong! So I thought I would give this a go, it doesn't seem to have a scent at all to me which is good! It also isn't harsh when massaging into your face, you can feel it doing what it needs to without scrubbing away all the goodness too. I love how nice my skin feels after using this, I am only using it a few times a week though as I don't want to cause my skin too much agro..

All in all I couldn't recommend this set more, especially if you suffer from spot prone skin like me. I've found since using any of Liz Earles range my skin is noticeably clearer, I obviously still get the odd break out but they're a lot more rare now than they used to be! And if any pesky spot every appears Lush Grease Lightning has it gone in a day anyway!

March wishlist

I'm actually being good this month and trying not to spend too much on make up or clothes due to getting my tattoo. So I'm creating myself a wish list so I remember to grab all the things I want when I get paid half way through April. There is heaps I am after at the moment, I'm a little sad I'm not going to New York again this year to buy them all, so online will have to do (cry).

I coud probably add to this list forever, but these are something's I want pretty soon. I mean how would these not be a great addition to any collection. I love The Balm's eyeshadow palettes, I already own the Nude'tude palette which I use nearly daily so I think this one will be just as great. There is also not a purple lipstick I don't not want!

Whats on your wish list at the moment?

Get to know me - Versatile Blog Award

I've been meaning to do a little 'Get to know me' type post for a while as I love reading them on others blogs and seeing what I have in common with them, so hopefully people may be able to relate to me more! So Hannah from Beautylittleyou tagged me in her Versatile Blogger Award I thought it would be a great place to start. I always struggle with these posts as I seem to blank when it comes to talking about myself, but I'll give it a go!

1. Thank the person who gave you the award and link their blog.
2. Share seven facts about yourself.
3. Nominate other blogs and let them know too.

My facts about me:

1. I love dogs of any form, I would rather be introduced to someones dog than children. I have literally no maternal instinct unless it has four legs and a tail.

2. I've only just started University at 21, I had no idea what I wanted to do until I literally fell into my job I'm in at the moment. (I'm there for 5 years though, sigh).

3. I have been with my boyfriend for over 4 years now, and it's my longest relationship yet. Scary when you think about it!

4. I had my eyes lasered in July last year and it was the best thing I've ever done. Also inspired my blog's name change.

5. I went to New York at Christmas with my boyfriend and I would do anything to go back. It is now my favourite city, amazing.

6. I'm horrendously negative about myself and it irritates everyone around me, but I really can't help it. I do try not to be and also hide it quite well. I hardly go anywhere alone because of this so I rely a lot on others to go places.

7. I would happily quit everything and become a make up artist, even though I love my job, but make up is such a dream for me. Unfortunately I'm not even a quarter as good as I wish I was.

1. Reinventing Neesha
2. Look at my Clothes
3. Vix Meldrew
4. Blue Eyed Fashion
5. Olivia Cheryl
6. Magpie Jasmine
7. Fifi and the Diamonds
8. VV Nightingale
9. Speckled Beauty
10. Speaking Beauty UK
11. Classic Rouge
12. Missy NADM

Obviously you don't have to repost this but I did enjoy doing it and also sharing the other blogs I love reading too. There is heaps more I could post too but I could be on all day! If you've done one of these posts, leave a link below I'd love to have a read.

I'm a sucker for Mac products and even more so when they release a limited edition version of a product. Some people collect normal things like ornaments and I collect lipsticks (that's okay isn't it). So when I saw yet another red lipstick in the collection I really wanted it, plus I also loved the packaging. I do sit and search for swatches on Instagram to see which I like the most out the lot, which I probably could have bought the job lot I limited myself to just 1.

The shade I got was Barbecue which is a vivid orange-red colour and quite similar to Mac Chili if you ever want this when it discontinues. There was 6 shades in the collection and they we're all red mattes, there was some beautiful brown toned shades too. I just love how bright and vibrant this red is and I know I will get a lot of wear of it throughout Spring!

Here is what it's like on:

If you're a sucker like me for a limited edition Mac product I would definitely pick this up, especially if you love reds! What is your favourite Mac shade?

Too Faced Natural Eyes

I'm slowly catching up on my reviews from some of my purchases when I was in New York in December, and this beauty is one of the things I grabbed. This is the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette which is £32 in Debenhams at the moment. This is my first ever Too Faced product and I'm really not sure why!?

In this palette there is a mixture of matte and shimmer eyeshadows and it also comes with a handy little booklet which tells you how to apply each 'look'. Personally out of the three looks 'Fashion' is my favourite one, as I cannot get enough of Honey Pot and Chocolate Martini. I don't always wear these in the order the little book tells me to as I sometimes like to mix Push Up and Chocolate Martini together for a neutral smokey eye look.

Here is the three looks:

Ruby's poochie present

Can I just eat them yet???

The lovely people over at sent me a huge box of goodies for my little pup Ruby to try. I loved this idea as I love treating her to goodies every now and then (and who couldn't resist that little face either). She got some Huntland Grain Free food which is 100% natural dry dog food, it's also low in carbs so if you're dogs on a little diet it would be handy! She also got some Harringtons Dog Treats and Wagg Dog Treats, I've never bought Harringtons treats for her before as they don't sell them locally but she's loving them so will need to buy more! (Loved them so much she stole the top of the packet to lick).

They also offer a 'Bottomless Bowl' service which you can sign up to have whatever you need posted to you over whatever timescale you need. I love the idea of this especially if you like to feed your pets higher quality foods and they're not local to you, like where I live. Plus saves you extra shopping to lug around Asda. Obviously seeing as Ruby loves this food I'm obvious going to have to keep buying her this! For me it won't be a purchase I will be making too often but I am going to treat her to it every now and then!

I really appreciate for sending these and would highly recommend them! Can't wait for Rubes to eat all these so I can grab her some other flavours to try.

Belated February Lip Monthly

Now I'm well aware it is March, but because this subscription comes from the US it takes donkeys to reach me.. so hense the late review. Now don't get me wrong, it may take a while to reach me but I do love it once it reaches me. It's also a great way to try out some American brands which rarely reach the UK.

This months box has a retail value of $64 so for $15 a month including P&P it is a bargain. Obviously with this still being the February box it is Valentines colour themed.. hense all the pink! There was an eyeshadow snuck into this lip monthly box but I like it so I don't mind it making it's way in there. Plus it's definitely fun if you love lipsticks like me!

So Susan Lip Dome - $10 - This is a bit like a chubby stick and has a lovely rounded point on the end to help it be applied easily. I'm glad I got the shade 'Black Currant' as I love a dark purple lip shade! It's so easy to throw into your bag and slick on throughout the day which is a reason I love these types of balms.

Jelly Pong Pong Supermodel Stain - $25 - I can only assume this is a sample size as it is really dinky, so I wouldn't want to pay $25 for this little size! But it does have some beautifully vivid colours in it, there is two lighter shades and two darker shades of pinks. So if you are a pink lover this little palette would be right up your street. These don't last too long on the lips so I am slightly disappointed, especially seeing as I loved the red shade.

Be a Bombshell Lipgloss - $13 - I got the shade Hooked which is a dark red shade, it has a really good colour pay off which I was surprised with as it's a gloss. It is like any other gloss and leaves a slight sticky residue but looks lovely on. I love it's bright brick red colour, I can't wait to wear it more in Spring time!

MMU: Cargo Eye Shadow - $16 - I got the shade Green Bay which is a mossy green colour which gold shimmer throughout it. It comes in a handy little silver tin which fits in great with my eyeshadow collection in my dressing table. I love how pigmented this colour is and think it will look great highlighting the inner corner of my eyes!

I did overall like this box, and if this came earlier in the month I would definitely keep my subscription going. But unfortunately I haven't bothered to renew it as I hate getting it late each month :(. But I'm definitely keeping my eyes open for them to bring out a UK version!

What is your favourite subscription box?

Mac is always a good cheer up!

It really doesn't take me much to go into Mac and spend my money, and seeing as I couldn't find what I was after while I was shopping the other day I decided to spend money there instead (at least I could find something to spend my money on..). There is actually nothing that cheers me up than buying myself a Mac lipstick... sad yes, but cheered me up... also yes. I have a heap of lipsticks but I like to have the variation and know I have a colour for everything! I'm sure if I was any good at eye make up I would buy more eyeshadow.. but I can't.

I have been after Groundwork from Mac for god knows how long and I've never bit the bullet and got it until now (why did it take so long). I already have the Let's Skate paint pot which I absolutely love but it is a little too glittery for every day use, but they create a great base for eyeshadow. Groundwork being a beautiful neutral colour it is a great base for a natural eyes to smokey eyes, and even looks nice just on its own. I need to grab some more paint pots too, they last all day without creating creases in my shadow!

I did initially go to buy Mocha lipstick but seeing as it wasn't in stock the nice Mac girl offered me Taupe as a alternative. I do actually love it as well so I am glad I got this one (I'm coming back for Mocha though..). Taupe is a reddish brown colour so it fits in well with the Kylie Jenner lip craze which is still going on. It can literally turn a boring natural look into something a little bit more, it just makes my lips feel like the stand out and they also don't feel like the weeny size the actually are (perk).

I was also recommended getting the Brunette to use as a liner rather than an actual Mac liner, and judging by the Mac girls make up I was fine to take any advice she gave me anyway. I actually love the effect it gives my lips, it makes them appear fuller without the liner being noticeable. With it being quite a neutral colour it blends in really well and keeps my lipstick in tact just a long as a normal lip liner offers.

And here is what they all look like on! :)

Healthy blueberry muffins!

So in light of my health kick I decided to try out some healthy breakfast muffins! I am a serial snacker at all points of the day so thought I could make something healthy to snack on. I chose blueberries this time as they're one of the best 'super foods' to include in your diet. I also had heaps left over from my smoothies this week so I didn't want to waste them either!

These supposedly only have 236 calories in them according to a few recipes online, so they aren't going to damage anyones diets. Well unless you ate them all I suppose.. With these having oats in I did think they would have been a little dry and lumpy but they weren't at all! This recipe made 18 muffins for me, so I did take them all to work. But when I make some this weekend I plan to freeze some of them so they will last a bit longer.

  • 2 cups of all purpose flower
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of honey fat free green yogurt
  • 2 large eggs (free range!)
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of blueberries (or more if you want)
  1. Pre-heat your over to gas mark 4 or 350 degrees
  2. Put cases into muffin tin
  3. Combine the flour, sugar, oats, baking power, baking soda and salt into a bowl and mix together
  4. Combine the yogurt, eggs, butter and vanilla into a separate bowl and mix completely until smooth
  5. Then fold the yogurt mixture into the dry mixture in the same bowl then add the blueberries
  6. Spoon the mix into the muffin tin, and fill as into the tin as your like. The more mixture the bigger the muffins, so all down the preference!
  7. Bake for around 20-25 minutes, make sure they're springy before you take them out. Or you can pierce a muffin with a skewer and make sure it's dry to check if they are ready.
I loved these (and so did everyone at work), so I will be making them again.. but maybe next time with chocolate chips (yum!).

Moooh kitty

When I saw this cutie from Moooh!! I knew I had to grab it, it is insanely cute! I mean look at its massive eyes?! It is just a little coin purse though but it is really handy to chuck into a tiny bag or a clutch bag (my Ted Baker purse never fits in small bags). This has been a life saver when using my small bags and it's hilariously cute.

I've discovered a new love for the Moooh!! store, they have an amazing range of unique, quirky items which you don't get the chance to see everyday.

If you sign up here you will get $15 coupon to spend in the store! Which is a great little incentive to go buy some of their quirky items, I can't wait to get more!!

This is a PR item, all views are my own.
