Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette

I've been after this palette for months, I really couldn't make my mind up between this one or the cream based formula but went for this one for it's ease! I spend the majority of my time applying my make up to go to work, so the one I thought I would get the most use out of is powder. It's easier to swish on as it doesn't need as much blending as a cream palette, though I do still want the cream one..!

Top L-R: Vanilla, Banana, Sand. | Bottom L-R: Java, Fawn, Havana.

I got the Light - Medium palette, as well I'm as pale as a ghost lately and no bronzer is going to cure that any time soon realistically. I use this with my Mac 168 Contour brush and my Real Techniques Setting Brush, I only use the setting brush for my light contour areas and anywhere that needs a little covering. In the kit there is two matte highlights (Vanilla and Banana), one shimmer highlight (Sand) and three contour shades. Havana is a little too dark for me at the moment, but I'm sure if I get a tan it will blend in perfectly.

I have a moon face, so I need as much contouring as I can get. I literally never leave the house without a little bit of bronzer under my cheekbones at the very least. It really does make heaps of difference to your face shape. Depending on your face shape will depend on which areas you should be contouring/highlighting. Youtube videos have always been my saviour when learning to contour.

I could have showed you my egg head for comparison, but thought the chart would be more informative.. :).

Though I love this the packaging is slightly lousy for what it is, I would have expected a nice acrylic palette rather than cardboard but the majority high end I've seen are all cardboard. Why?? But the upside of this palette is that once you run out of one shade you can replace the pan rather than having the buy a whole new palette. Which is so much better if you use one shade more than the rest like I probably will.
