Favourite Autumn Red Lips

See my favourite red shades for Autumn

Autumn is my all time favourite season for lipsticks, it means I can break out all my reds and not look weird in the office (not that it ever stopped me). I know August is all about berry shades, but I've already covered them not all that long ago (here) and these are definitely my go to's for the perfect Autumn red shade. And as if by miracle this is probably my first lipstick favourites post that doesn't include all Mac lipsticks! I'm venturing out eventually!

Mac Chili - If you can't tell by the above photo I love an orange-red shade, but this is my all time favourite (along with Barbecue). Although this is a matte shade it's not all that drying, but I always use a scrub and balm before any matte lip. This is one of the perfect everyday reds if you don't want one that's too bright. It's the red I grab for the most!

Illamasqua Soaked - This is quite similar to Chili on but has a lot more of an orange pigment, Illamasqua mattes are a little more dying than Mac's but the pigment is amazing. These last pretty well, though not as good as a liquid lip, but a good 6 hours. I love how creamy Illamasqua lipsticks are to apply!

Kylie Cosmetics 22 - This is my favourite liquid lip that I own, the shade is so creamy and comfortable to wear. Again, this is yet another orange toned red shade and it's so nice on. The little doe foot applicator makes it so easy to get a precise line around your lips too.

Jeffree Star Red Rum - This is the brightest red out the bunch, it's a blue red and perfect for this time of year. If you don't like your bright reds, this one isn't for you as it isn't subtle. Jeffree Star liquid lips are quite watery in consistency compared to Kylie's but it is still really easy to get a precise line. You definitely need to use a scrub and balm before this formula as it is a little more drying, but a perfect red shade.
