Urban Decay Moondust Palette

Urban Decay Moondust palette review

Ever since I got my eyes on this palette I wanted it, it's just so sparkly and pretty! I always thought I would never use glitter as I'm completely useless with it and my face always ends up like a disco ball. But the Moondust palette is so so easy to use I'm now a glitter convert. I could quite easily use this every single day.
When I first saw it I was a little dubious if I would ever use these sort of colours, they're so bright and colourful. I'm pretty much a smokey eye 24/7 person, apart from when I use my Renaissance palette, so these are a little different for me! I didn't realise these shades would be so wearable for every day. I mix between wearing these on their own with my NYX glitter primer, or with a bold colour underneath and the glitter on top. The Element shade goes perfectly with Red Ochre from the Renaissance palette!

Every other glitter I've used in the past always has crazy fall out, no matter what I seemed to try. And as I'm definitely not skilled in the glitter eye department it made it 10x harder to use, as much as I wanted to! Which is probably why I love this palette so much, I've literally not had any fall out over my face with them. I apply the glitter with my Mac 213 brush, which is a flat brush to spread it evenly over my lid. I've never really mastered doing my eye makeup before my foundation so any glitter that doesn't fall all over my foundation is a winner with me.

All the shades are amazingly pigmented and so true to colour too. Element is definitely my favourite of the bunch though, it reminds me of Mac Watermelon that I've been wanting for years (why haven't I bought it yet)! I had such fun using the greens for Halloween too, I will brave them for everyday one day though as they looked fab.

If you love trying out new eye looks or if you're trying to break yourself into wearing glitter you desperately need these!
