My Favourite Bases - Purse Friendly Edit

My Favourite Bases - Purse Friendly Edit

I have quite a few foundations, albeit not half as much as EmmyWritesAbout, but I do have a little collection. I have some favourites which I continuously reach for, and a few I probably forget about and never use. These are the ones I'm loving, and probably have been for well over a year. They all have different uses, for me anyway, some are needed to last all day and some just for a quick base!

My Favourite Bases - Purse Friendly Edit

Nars Sheer Glow £32.00 - I've had this foundation for nearly 2 years now, it has lasted me an age! I still love it now as much as I did when I bought it. It isn't high coverage, but it is really buildable without any caking. I love this for warmer months as it is so light on your skin throughout the day, no matter how much I have built it up.

Too Faced Born This Way £29.00 - I'm on to my second bottle of this already cause I tend to use it nearly every day, especially if I know I'm going to be out and about and no time for a touch up. Its a medium to full coverage and not too dewy. I love how well this lasts, and how easy it is to maintain if I want to retouch it before going out in the evening. Some foundations go cakey when you reapply areas but this doesn't budge.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (x2) £10.99 - I'm not sure what the difference is between this and the foundation, but this is my go to light base! I have two cause they're too different shades, one for fake tan and one for paler days. I love how fresh this feels on your face, you almost forget you're wearing it. It doesn't clog up your pores or stick to any areas of my face and blurs any imperfections. This is so easy to apply and lasts a good 5-6 hours without a slight touch up.

Bourjois Air Mat £6.99 - This is my 'I'm feeling tanned' foundation, along with the Healthy Mix it's so light feeling on your skin. Although this has a more of a medium buildable coverage it's not heavy on your face. I delve between this and Too Faced for nights out as I just love how it lasts. Though I wouldn't say it was that 'matte' it literally sits perfectly on your skin without being too dewy.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer £5.49 - I don't know how many of these I've had now, I can't stop buying it. It is my all time holy grail concealer to wear under my eyes. It brightens your under eye so well without creating some sort of thick mask! I also use this as a highlight on my jaw line and nose when I'm wanting more of a defined look for the day (like most days). Don't know how I would cope without it!

I still set all of these with my RCMA powder to avoid it budging and then applying a setting spray (either Urban Decay or Gerard Cosmetics). If you want a base to last all day no matter what, you need a good setting powder and spray!
