The battle of saving for trips

*This post contains affiliate links

I love booking trips but this year has been a bit quiet compared to last year, starting a new job in a new city means I don’t have the spare cash I used to. So last year when I was booking holidays left right and centre, this year I’ve struggled to even save £50. Crazy how things change. Seeing as I had my one big trip to Bali this year, its ate up the majority of my spends. But I have eventually booked Wroclaw with Kirsty which will be my last budget trip of the year. This had all went to plan until I had to book a last minute hen trip to Benidorm in October which I hadn't budgeted for at all!

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

I've been using this mascara for around 3 months now, so I've definitely given it a good run out to try it. Urban Decay can draw me in solely by their packaging anyway, so the Troublemaker mascara did not disappoint. The mascaras packaging itself is also all multicoloured and sturdy, some high street packaging can feel quite flimsy but you know you could safely put this in your luggage or handbag. They actually do this in a mini travel size too, even more handy!

This is actually the first Urban Decay mascara I've ever tried, I'd never heard much about them so it's never been a first preference. They don't have heaps of mascaras to choose from but they do have two others to choose from, the Perversion Mascara and the Double Team Coloured Mascara. I've never tried a coloured mascara before, so it's definitely intrigued me!

Group trips for a solo traveller

Group trips for a solo traveller

I've now reached the age where your friends are either off getting married, or the rest are out getting drunk and locked out their house. I'm the middle person, I don't go out drinking much and spend most my time wanting to find somewhere new to explore. So when it comes to trying to book breaks away somewhere, the struggle is real. Everyone has their families, boyfriends, husbands or other ties, so they can't go away. But lil' old me wants to go somewhere new!

Updating your wardrobe for Autumn

Updating your wardrobe for the Autumn weather
*This is a collaborative post

So sadly, Summer is over and I'm back to sporting coats. So it's now time to overhaul my wardrobe to bring in some AW clothing into the mix. It's not quite hat and glove weather, although I did debate it this morning, but it's definitely time for tights most days now. I feel like I got so used to being able to have bare legs and not have to wear coats for so long now, this all feels foreign and I'm sad about it! This is always a good excuse to get out that dress you loved last winter, grab some new bits too! But don’t feel like you need to settle for the same old!

Getting 1ml lip fillers with Flawless Cosmetic

Getting 1ml lip fillers with Flawless Cosmetic

If you’ve read my blog for a while, you’ll know I’ve had lip fillers before (see my first experience). I last got them done in February time, but I opted for 0.5ml. I wanted to try them out, see how they looked, see how they reacted etc. before getting anything more. I loved them when I got them done, it was so subtle but I knew the difference and felt better in myself, which is the whole purpose. But they must have worn off over the last 2 months or so, as I saw some photos of me recently and noticed I had no lips again! So I booked my now second appointment at Flawless Cosmetic, but this time for 1ml. I knew the difference between 0.5ml and 1ml wouldn’t have been hugely drastic of a change, but I just wanted to see how I would look with fuller lips again.
