Urban Decay Naked Cherry

Urban Decay Naked Cherry

I knew I needed the new Urban Decay palette as soon as I saw it pop up everywhere, but I've been on a wedding budget so I wasn't sure when I was going to be able get it. Luckily Urban Decay sent me the latest Cherry Palette so I managed to get it earlier than I expected! I was sooo excited when it arrived as I'd been dying to try out some new shades. I'm still in love the with Heat Palette and have used it pretty much continuously since I've got it, so I was quite excited to be able to add another into my favourites.

The Cherry Palette is in the same sturdy packaging as the Heat Palette, albeit it's a bit bulky but it's so pretty and still easy to store. I prefer the plastic packaging over the Naked tin packaging, it doesn't get damaged as easy and just looks nicer on my dresser. The Cherry palette's shade range from whites/light pinks, to some peach and raspberry tones, up to the darker cherry shades. There is also a good mix of shimmer and matte which I always love. Whenever I do my eye make up, 90% of the time I always go for a matte blend with a glitter/shimmer shade on the lids. I've never mastered a cut crease, so this will always be my go to look. So palettes with a good finish mix are always my most go-to ones.

It's was my best friends wedding last weekend, and I took this beauty with me to do my make up for the day. Typically, I'm too anal to get someone else to do my make up on the day in case I hate it. So I've opted to do it solo (and hopefully I won't look like a clown), and I thought the cherry palette had the perfect amount of wedding appropriate pinks and a gold shimmer for the extra sparkle. All the bridesmaids went for something different make up wise, so there was no worry about having our make up matching luckily!

My favourite combo out of the palette has to be Feelz, Bing, Turn On and Young Love. They create the perfect every day smokey eye for me, and seems to last all day. I always find my other palettes don't have the longevity of Naked Palettes, so they're always my go to whenever I'm going somewhere special, or they always come with me on my trips away. There is a good mix to switch up between day time and night time looks too, you can go for a really natural look or full on dark cherry smokes, whichever you prefer.

Urban Decay Naked Cherry

There is actually a whole Naked Cherry range, so if you're feeling really autumnal there is 3 shades of lipsticks to grab too. I've never actually tried an Urban Decay lipstick so maybe I'll have to grab those after Christmas! But this will make a fab part of someones Christmas box, or even the a Christmas present to yourself! (Buy it for yourself....cough).

Have you tried the latest palette yet? Is it one you're wanting to get your hands on?
